Bought concert tickets, broke up with girl, now what?
 

Ok-

I bought my (now ex)girlfriend and I tickets to the Civic tour (Dashboard Confessional,Thrice, Get Up Kids, and The Format). They're awsome seats in a private suite, free food, backstage passes, and vip parking.

We broke up today and I'm pretty pissed. I believe there's a chance we might get back together at some point.

Would it be wrong to invite another girl to the concert?

i don't see why it would be wrong... it's doubtful either of you would have a good time going with each other, so go with someone who's company you would enjoy.

If things are going better closer to the concert with your ex and it looks like you may get back together then take her. If not, ask someone else to go with you. Decide who you would have the best time with and take that person. You don't want that night to be spoiled by petty arguements and such.

Funny how no one suggested you bring a guy friend. That's assuming you have guy friends... But still, there's no harm in taking someone else of either gender if your ex would make you miserable.

he didn't say it was a gift, just that he bought the tickets and they planned to go together. from how i read it, the tickets are his... and he asked his girlfriend to go, but since she is no longer his girlfriend... he should be able to ask whoever he wants and go have a good time.

bringing a guy friend might not be a bad idea assuming you're allowed to bring other people into the private suite with you...then you two could go find a couple hotties in the lawn or pavilion and bring them up with you.

Yeah go ahead take a bud or other girl. Gives you a chance to get out and not brood over the breakup too.

I must also be getting old or something. I've not heard of these bands. The names of a couple sound familiar but that's where it ends. I'm so out of it. :(

Not sure if this will fly though, cause I don't own the suite, just have 2 of the 16 spots in it... but there's gonna be a chouch and chairs at the bar... so I guess it wouldn't matter. hmmm....:cool:

I went to the show in Niagara Falls. I was front row too... Up until 14 year old asshats decided to crowd surf and mosh :mad: Fuck that shit.

I ended up asking a girl that lives here in the dorm with me. It was great to to hear the gasp she made when I told her I had an extra ticket... hehe...

Update:

The concert was awsome! I didn't like Thrice, but the Guet up kids were pretty good. The only disapointmant was when he had the crowd sing the climax to "screaming infidelities". I was kinda disapointed about that...

Anyways, even better then the concert was the girl I took. We got along sooo well. Everytime one of us would share an opinion, the other would be amazed cause we felt the exact same way... about almost everything. I one point I jokeinly said, "You must have been stalking me for the last 5 years. How else would you be able to say everything you'vr been saying." To this she responded with, "You're the one that called me ;)".

Overall it was an amazing night. Thanks for all ya'lls suggestions!
