Bigger Risk
An earlier thread got me thinking. which is a bigger risk to you?
Choice A MULTIPLE PARTNERS WITH CONDOM Pros: Your not tied down, more partners, variety, quickies COns: Not knowing partners well, no info on their STD status Yeah you could have multiple partners you know well, but if your sleeping around they are probably sleeping about also. And you wouldnt know what their partners have. Choice B ONE PARTNER WITHOUT CONDOM (and no pills, nothing) Pros: You know them and trust them, you both know about your STD status Cons: Pregnancy Yes you can have one partner and use a condom or a contraceptive but I know many people, many friends who do not use condoms with their partner. Its a temptation we all get. So which is a bigger risk to you? edit to have same question as poll.. might have confused people. sorry Last edited by Xepidemic; 05-21-2004 at 07:53 PM.. |

Define multiple partners. Statistically speaking, multiple partners would always be riskier if multiple partners was defined as a number in the tens or hundreds. I honestly won't fuck a girl unless it involves a condom, and fuck is a general term for me including oral, anal and intercourse.
So basically, I'm answering your question with a question about what multiple partners means.

Once I was sure everything was ok, and the girl i was dating was on birth control, i have gone condom-free. I'd be broke or deadly horny if i had to use a condom every time i've ever fucked my girlfriends (all 3 of them).
If you don't know the STD status FOR A FACT, AND if she's not on birth control- don't be a retard, wear a condom! *The above is aimed at everyone on the planet, no one in specific.* |

Yeah but wearing a condom does not protect against all STDs. Human Papilloma Virus, genital warts, herpes...
I think I rather have one partner who I know doesnt have any of those so basically its either an uncurable STD such as herpes or pregnancy Last edited by Xepidemic; 05-21-2004 at 09:08 PM.. |

And not using a condom isn't a result of temptation, its a result of stupidity. Every time I've slept with a guy and he didn't use a condom it was because he was stupid, I was stuipd, or we both were. Not because of temptation.

I don't see what the argument is.
One of my best friends has had one sexual partner in her life. That she constantly sleeps with without a condom. He has had 13. All without condoms. She got at least 1 STD(That she's told me about...) You do the math. |

When you make the decision to go condom free with someone, you are also having sex with their entire sexual history.
Pregnancy doesn't have to be a permanent condition (it's gone in 18 years worst case), some STDs are, and you can't tell if someone's got something by just looking at them. I hate to sound like a public service announcement, but not using a condom is stupid, the last set of statistics that I think I saw, were that senior citizens were the largest group of new AIDS patients (go figger) second to that were 18- 24 year olds. Why not protect yourself.

Apparently, the worst you can be in is being in a relationship with someone, where both of you have a "dish" on the side, and no condoms in use, while the side dishes are also behaving simularly. Ie, everyone being "faithful" to about 2 partners in long-term relationships without any protection.
There was an interesting article I read the other day claiming that behaviour like this caused some countries to have massive explosions of STDs. Basically, once an STD entered the "web" of people who where having sex without a condom, it quickly spread to everyone in the web.

Definitely multiple partners!! If I were with a person I loved and trusted and got pregnant, I could get an abortion, despite the harshness on my body. If I had multiple partners, I could get diseases, or pregnant, it just depends on if the condom works!
