Your her brother, not her parent. Let her know you are there for her and then stay out of her business. Everyone has be given the freedom to make choices with their own lives, even if its the wrong ones...

Well, an update on that. He fucking broke up with her, and she cried for about two solid days. She'll still trying to get over it. God dammit. Also, her best friend went out with one of my best friends for a year, and he broke up with her recently too. So they're consoling each other, but I think its actually just making them both worse. I dunno what I'm trying to say exactly, it's just sad. They're fifteen man. It's stupid.

Big brothers are usually way more protective then parents because they see more, they know how other guys think.. And they have buddies who can help hide a body ;)

Oh brother. That's rough on a girl that age. That's rough on anyone. Be sure not to give her the "I told you so" story obviously.

You could just simply ask her if there's anything you can do to help her feel better. Just simple. If she says no then let her know she can come ask you for it later if she thinks of something. Then leave her be. I bet she'll come round to ya later. Even if to joke about how the guy was a jerk or to ask you for advice. Let her know you're there for her. Maybe even take her and her friend out for a "Date" for icecream or something simple. Make them feel special to someone and let them know you care without lots of nosiness.

Yeah that's good advice. I came home the night it happened and she was really sad, so I took her swimming (I live in a massive lake town). It took her mind off of it. The next day she told her friends what a great brother she had. :)

Don't get freaked out but if you don't know whats going on in their lives. One of the problems growing up is that my parents had money. The thought of, "I bought you this and your still not happy." doesn't cut it. I'm sure you have a good relationship with your daughter but make sure it's strong enough that it it won't be weird to talk about sex. Shes at that time right now when you hit highschool and thats when sexual temptation hits the hardest, even in junior high its huge. Make sure you talk to your kids alot.

The other day I took my sister out to dinner and I told her that I was sorry for flipping but I wasn't sorry for being mad. I told her I am her brother. I said I hope that she isn't mad at me but I love her so much and the thought of her being pressured into sex made me upset because she was so special to me.

At that point she started to cry and told me that she loved me so much. She hugged me so hard my ribs still hurt. I'm glad we arn't in that uncofortable stage. She promised to never lie again and that she wants me to talk to him.

You know, I'd have to say the same. And I'm a very opposed to violence in any form. It'd be one of those circumstances where one of us would be unconscious or dead before I gave up.

I really find it retarded that people still have this stigma over young people having sex.

We need to educate people on the ramifacations of sex, not pretend that sex doesn't exist.

Bottom line: People that age are flooded with hormones. Their bodies are TELLING THEM TO HAVE SEX. Why does society tell them otherwise? What is that all about, seriously? Have sex responsibly, and all of this goes away.

BTW you should give your sister all the advice you can about life then let her go make her own mistakes, and suffer her own mishaps. That way she'll actually really learn from them, but you're not going to spare her any pain by being like you're stupid you should do stuff this way it'll just make her tell you to butt out of her life.

There's a national PSA going on now where hundreds of teenage boys are saying, "I will wait, I will wait" then at the end they say, "To have sex." The right idea but I'[m sure ths will sway no teenage boy into abstinence.

It's just one of those things that is a requirment to do, i'd mame any man (and have had to do so on one occasion) that did that.

I do agree with most of the guys in this thread, it is hard to know exactly how far to protect a little sister, especially where other guys are involved.
