problems with the patch
My girlfriend has been on the patch for a little less than 2 weeks and is all or a sudden experiencing some vaginal bleeding and stomach pain. Any ideas on what could cause this?

pretty normal as moi says but still annoying side effects. Have her talk to her doctor and make him give her perscriptions of another brand. I switched 2 times before I found one that does the trick for me without the side effects.

my g/f and I have been always using condom and now are thinking to use patch. would you recomend it? i didn't know these sides effects, is it still worth it better than pill or anything else?
as she hasn't tried any other method than condoms, we don't know what 's best but patch sound good.

My gf has been on the patch 6 months or so with no side effects. Also no pregnancy (although our chances are alreadly lower since we only see each other on weekends). She likes it better than the pill cause she only has to remember once a week instead of every day.

My girl is on her second month with the patch and its been great for us. First, there are no pills to forget, which helps me relax, second her sex drive had increased 10 times (which is good for me) and third, she hasn't had any bad physical problems like she has with other forms of birth control (ie cramping, spotting, raging pms). The only real problem we've had so far is that she went tanning with it on and now has a whites square on her ass. Everybody reacts differently to these things, but its been great for us. Oh and her boobs have gotten a little bit bigger and firmer as well.

Both the Patch and the Pill can have funky effects on the body. They're not really side effects perse, but the body getting used to the new form of hormone. Spotting and cramping within the first three months are normal. Sometimes beyond that. That's completely normal. If the bleeding is more than spotting and lasts more than a week she should talk to her doctor.

I am on the patch. I have been on it for going on three monthes now. Vaginal bleeding is normal and the cramps. The vaginal bleeding can become rather bad at times and can the cramps. The best advice I can give is what my doctor gave me. To stick with the patch for a few more weeks and see what happens. My side affect wore off after a few weeks and after I had become use to it ( meaning my body got use to the patch and hormone simulation). But it the problems persist longer I suggest discontinue using it and ask a doctor about these things.
