A lil nick....

Okay, so I was trimming the hedges, and I use the electric trimmer side of my electric razor, and it's worked atleast 15 times before with no problems. Today, I guess I got a little lazy/tired from doing it for so long, and i accidently hit the shaft.

It's just a lil cut, didn't bleed (maybe it did a drop, cuz i took a shower after, but no more) and it was just a little redder. Doesn't hurt, haven't gotten an erection though, don't know if that would hurt.

Anyone ever cut themselves down there?

(I'd put this on the trimming/shaving/etc. thread, but since it's 1) about cuts and 2) people dont read really long, yr. old threads, i posted a new topic.)

Xsas 04-23-2004 05:00 PM

Gah, it's Prom weekend too, and this damage sucks!!!!!

I'm prolly going to get some action (head or sex), but why did I have to fucking cut myself the day before!? FUCKKK.

fallenangel 04-23-2004 05:01 PM

bastards yes, and it hurt so much :( I bought a little mustache trimmer (i'm female but it does the trick for down there i suppose), the next thing i know, *cue noise for cutting self*, hurt soooo badly.

Xsas 04-23-2004 05:04 PM

Well, atleast I'm lucky that mine didn't and doesn't hurt that badly lol. I think any sexual action is out of the question though, unless I (and she) are careful.

Xsas 04-23-2004 05:08 PM

Update: erections don't hurt, but I didn't try any extra physical stimulation. I think no action for 30 hours should give it time to heal up, yup yup.

la petite moi 04-23-2004 05:13 PM

Yeah, I have cut myself down there, but I'm a girl.

Just gotta be care, and I'm sure you're fine.

Ace_O_Spades 04-23-2004 05:13 PM

yes, ive nicked myself once or twice with an electric trimmer, it is not very fun

ratbastid 04-23-2004 06:25 PM

I shave with a blade, and I'm always nicking myself slightly in various places. Doesn't really hurt too badly, and by the time I'm out of the shower I can't even really tell where the nicks were. I can hardly feel it at all at that point.

Polyphobic 04-23-2004 07:48 PM

I have also cut myself down there. Fortunately, things seem to heal quickly.

bermuDa 04-23-2004 10:37 PM

never cut myself. maybe i'm just not as careless as you folks ;)

with the exception of ratbastid it seems that electric trimmers are a common factor... maybe using an electric trimmer is an invitation to disaster?

Harshaw 04-24-2004 09:21 AM

Remember, blood flow to a wounded area aids in healing... You know what you have to do.

absorbentishe 04-24-2004 07:03 PM

Last time I cut myself, it didn't stop bleeding for a long time. I cut the sac, and it burned for a while after. I knew what happened just as I did it. Got to be careful. Never cut the shaft though.

tamdarkdeamon 04-24-2004 08:37 PM

Yeah, I was masturbating in the shower after so many weeks of not doing it, that I was wild. At that instance, the bottom directly beneath the head ripped. The blood wouldn't stop pouring, however, it did not hurt. This happened when I was 12.

Tuffy_McGee 04-25-2004 12:07 AM

Last week I was experimenting with heating oils.
Got a little HOT.
I should have blown on it first like with food.

Ripsaw 04-26-2004 07:00 AM

*cringe*

Tweeze. Just tweeze.

He's so nonchalant about it. I can't even watch - I get woozy and have to leave the shower when he gets down the razor. Can't stand the thought of him with something sharp so close to my favorite toys.

is that a straight edge or a modern razor?

Memnoch 04-26-2004 09:44 AM

I'm very careful when I shave...just once, though, the razor slipped from my hand and got me right above the "spout," so to speak. I screamed like a little girl.

are you fucking insane? you think that a little shaving would hurt less then plucking all the hairs off your crotch

a few nicks here and there, no biggie, it's shaving your balls that's the real trick.

Homey_V 04-26-2004 04:41 PM

Oh sweet merciful crap!

Call me silly, but the thought of getting a nick down there prevents me from bringing any sort of razor near my family jewels.... And as for tweezing....

*shudder*

No thanks...
Hope yours healed up alright though.

crony 04-26-2004 05:22 PM

I used a $20 Remmington trimmer I picked up from Wal-Mart and I've gotten pretty good with it. Every once in a great while I'll nick myself. More often my balls than my shaft. It hurts :(

LiquidSquid 04-26-2004 07:41 PM

Yep. I think nicks and cuts come with the job. I've gotten a nick or two on the shaft, but whatever. It's not exactly life-threatening, and in a day or two no one's the wiser. Just like shaving your face...it's not necessarily a carelessness issue, more one of bad luck and the law of averages.

Xsas 04-27-2004 01:33 AM

It's like a lil scab on it now.

I use a Mach 3. Fresh blades help A LOT with both closeness and safety.

I also have a trimmer for my goatee that occasionally gets double-duty, but I only TRIM with that. It's not a razor.

lurkette bought an electric razor designed for the privates a while back, and sometimes I'll use that. There's no risk of nicks with that thing at all, but I'm not crazy about the results it produces either. Nowhere near as close or clean a shave.
