two too many nipples?
When I was pre-adolescent many years ago, I discovered my dad's stash of Sexology magazine and studied all of the contents with great interest. One of the interesting things I remember and keep coming back to, another thread here just reminded me of it, is how some human women have more than two nipples. I even remember photos of women with like six or eight nipples down the front, not on developed breasts, just the nipples. Sort of like other animal mammals with two rows of nipples. Anyway, the article said it is not uncommon in human women.
Did you ever see such a thing in person? |

Wow, I've never even heard of that. It is possible for men to have that too. I wonder if those nipples are as responsive to touch also. I am assuming that they wouldn't lactate considering its just a nipple, no breast.

I don't know more about it other than I'm highly confident it is real.
I haven't done a web search ...I'll try it now... but I bet my pay check it'll turn up since Sexology is/was not Playboy or Penthouse it's mostly serious human sexual science. |

I've heard of it. From what I heard they usually occur near the breast or up under the arm. They are usually along the milk ducts but usually aren't functional though sometimes you can get milk from the rare actually functional one. I had a mole just to the outside of my breast. It was becoming irritated because it was right in line with my bra edge. Eventually I had it removed. It wasn't technically a mole they discovered. It was connected to the milk ducts and had no other characteristics of a mole other than being brown. When it got irritated it cracked and bled and it always was sensitive. I have had it all my life but it never really bothered me until I was nursing. Since it was on the milk ducts is probably why it became more sensitive when I was nursing.

Hmm, Call me crazy but I think that picture is photoshopped crazy, If you look close at the 3rd nipple you will notice that there is a box around it that looks pasted on there. The colors become a bit distorted around it and it is only around the nipple .. Now am I crazy or is it a camera error or is it a fake picture ^^?

Uh, guys...it's true. I have 3 nipples total. The "extra" nipple looks like a large mole from far away but if one were to examine it more closely they'd see that it's made of the same nipple material. Mole flesh and nipple flesh look different. Also, it's grown as I have grown. It used to be a tiny speck of a birth mark and now it's about 3 milimeters in diameter.
And no, I doubt women secrete milk from them, as they would have to have mammory glands there. It makes sense when you think about it. Most mammals have more than two nipples. Think of it as a vestigial organ.

Men are equally vulnerable to superfluous nipples. Just ask Mark Wahlberg.

Mine was connected to my milk ducts. When I had it removed it leaked, not just bled, since I was lactating at the time. "SNs can appear complete with breast tissue and ducts and are then referred to as polymastia, or they can appear partially with either of the tissues involved."Emedicine One source I read suggested that the frequency of find this is 1 in 50 persons.
