Hi, long time reader, first time poster.

It seems over the past couple of months i have noticed some bumps on my genitals. It started mostly with the ball area, but has moved upward on the underneath of the penis area. They are small, maybe a .5 mm in diameter and flesh colored.

They do not itch, hurt, nor bother me in anyway. It seems that all of my pubic hair originates at these little bumps, but not all little bumps have hair protruding from them.

Is this normal, or is this something serious that I should alert my doctor to?

Oh yah, and I'm still a V and haven't had a BJ, so it couldn't be from that, although I do have a daily wank. Although in the past months I've been making out with quite a few ladies, and I was wondering if this also might be contagious before I go any further.

If they don't itch or hurt and you're a virgin and haven't had a blowjob, then it's not likely something sexually transmitted. Based on your description, it just sounds like hairs growing out and perfectly natural.

Well, with the daily wank you're agitating the skin. Small tears in the skin open up, a little dirt gets in there, and you basically have acne. I've had those once in a while (if that's indeed what you have). Just keep it clean, lay off the masturbation, and don't agitate it much for a while and see what happens.

It isn't about where you wank off, it is about the small tears you get in the skin from doing it. Eventually throughout the day oils or small pieces of dirt will get in there. I had a couple a few months ago, they went away, but it required using tweezers to pull out a couple offending in-grown hairs. Yeah, it hurt a little, but it went away quickly after that.

A couple days, typically. I had one that kept coming back until I finally, painfully, dug the in-grown hair out that was hiding. I'd suggest that you be careful with what you do down there, and if it keeps getting worse then see a doctor.

Are you talking about the little (sometimes white) balls visible just under the skin on the bottom side of the penis? Those are perfectly normal and are related to either sweat glands or like you mentioned above hair that is growing / about to grow.

Don't waste the time nor embarrasment seeing a Dr. about this. There is nothing wrong with your package. But to answer your question, a dermatologist will know a lot more then any other Dr. would about this subject because he is a Dr. that is specialized in skin problems.
