Idiots Dilemma
 

Ive got a bit of a dilemma.

At my school, there is a small group of girls... Suprisingly small. Im friends with all of the girls, but have never been able to score a date. No matter how hard I try, It is impossible to break these girls apart.
They function as a group whenever and whereever they go. Seeing as how most of the guys have given up and moved to outside sources, There are only a few of us left who even bother. We get tooled around, its no secret, but we still hold on to the hope that perhaps some day we could score the infamous date.... Nothing special, just one of them... ALONE....
As the number of guys who pay any interest at our school slowly fades, I often find myself the only straight guy at the table. And often they just treat me as one of the girls.. (Does wonders for my masculinity :P). So, my question to the wise TFP family:
What the FUCK should I do. Theres always been one girl Im after, but everytime I try to send her signals that I'm into her, another girl gets in the way. I can think of one time that she has ever been alone with me, and it was for about 15 seconds...
Is it a lost cause, should I attempt to network, start fresh.. Or just bog down for the long haul and sit and wait dormant for that special chance... Honestly, I really dont think I can be asked to go "guy shopping" one last time, faNtastic, o look, needles, Im gonna go stick them in my eyes.

become less availale. If it doesn't work, you'll at least train yourself away from them and them away from you. It isn't logical to invest into something with no return. Everything in life is an exchange of value. It should be a win win situation, and if it is not, then ideally you should walk away from it. Be upfront. "You know what, I'd like to take you out to dinner" "no, not the whole crew, I am interested in knowing YOU better right now." A doormat is rarely noticed.

The world is organized into an easy to swallow pill solely by the wisdom that is TFP.

In my experience, it's a good idea to casually flaunt the fact that you're having a "rager" at your place next weekend. Mention that you'll score some alcohol, marijuana, and maybe even a mix cd with some eddie money on it. Then, actually have a rager and invite other girls that are sleazier. Hook up with those girls, or perhaps pay them in advance to hook up with you while in the presense of said other girls. It's a fool-proof method performed nationwide every saturday.

The most effective method of breaking down their defenses is to befriend them in ascending order of attractiveness. I think I may have read this in an evolutionary biology textbook. Usually the least attractive girl will hold sway over the mood of the group. If you gain her trust, you're in through the backdoor like King Shit, and the other girls will think, well shit, maybe this guy isn't such a dork. Invite her over and sing her some hippie songs on the guitar, write a poem for her, and bake her a cake. Or take her for a ride on your dirtbike. She'll freak out and you've got a ticket to get closer with the other ones in the future.

But like I was saying before you should try to do actual fun things on your own, and then offhand offer them the chance to join you. It's something dynamic that takes them out of their comfort zone. Seriously though, these kinds of girls are usually not ready for prime time when it comes to relationships.

iceburn, this is really good advice to a new group of girls, but the situation seems to be in this case that Ballzor has been friends with all the girls in this group for a while now, but is unable to isolate one to tell her how he feels.

If this is how it is Ballzor, there have to be opportunities where these girls aren't in one tight pack. Even if they are close together, ask the girl you like if you could talk to her... alone. If she's interested in you, or even interested in what you have to say, she'll come with you. She'll do the work for you. Once you have her by herself, tell her how you feel and ask her out to someplace where you can talk and have fun. (park, arcade, your house for a movie, pool hall) If she rejects, get rid of as much ackwardness as you can- tell her "nothing really has changed, we can still be friends" or something similar, then talk about something else like a recent movie or something. Even if she rejects you then (unlikely as that is) she now thinks of you in a different light- not just "some friend guy" but "possible boyfriend guy". You should watch it though, because then she has the power in the relationship. You should be fine though, you don't even have to tell her how you feel, or even that you're going on a "date". Just ask her out to some place that involves just you and her, and let her know how you feel then.

Here's an easy to swallow pill: you're being a wuss. Grow a set of balls and make something happen, if you want something to happen. Don't wait around for an opportunity. MAKE an opportunity. Or, if you can't/won't do that, then accept that these girls are irrevocably in the Friend Zone, and move your affections to somebody else.

One suggestion: there's this device called the telephone. When it's attached to one girl's ear, she's the only one you're talking to. I'll let you do the math.

Ask them to drop acid with you. It's so crazy... it just might work! I've never tried acid, but from what I hear, it's some shit.

Hell yeah, if it's only one you're after, then so be it.

But if I were you, I'd rent a hotel room, then get some sexy toys, take them all out for a night on the town (get'em drunk) bring'em back to the hotel room, and have a blast ! Whoo hoo !

It sounds like they're just using you as a tool.
