met a girl DJing
 

Right, so while the thread might sound like a great story... met a girl DJing and stuff happened from there... it could've gone like that but didn't so I want advice....
So I was DJing a pretty hip party, and all of a suddent this fine girl walks by and asks me to put something on... so i do, and keep playing good music... she comes back, not once but three times and says (jokingly) that she wants to have my baby... I find out her name and that she speaks spanish, but unfortunately, I was on the tables all night and didn't get a chance to catch up with her... Is this a lost opportunity? or can I call her/email her and maybe just start talking to her and eventually meet her at another party? This is kind of rhetorical because I already have emailed her, but I'm just wondering, ladies, if this happened to you, would you think I responded solely on the wanting to have my baby line, or perhaps that I am just meeting somone new? Any and all opinions welcome

well if she gave you a contact, ie an email address and or phone number, its kinda obvious that she wants you to hit her up and do something. from my experience, if a girl says she wants to have your baby, its a joking way of saying that she wants you(she saw you DJing, thought you were hot, wanted some of that). i wouldnt leave it to chance and hope that you run into her again at another party. talk to her and if shes interested, go somewhere together

I don't understand the question. She gave you her number/email? So whats the problem? Contact her and see what happens :)

dude, talk to her, get to know her and go from there, can't hurt, im sure she doesnt think you are contacting her based solely on the baby crack

If she made a comment about having your baby, and then gives you a phone number/email address, she has no right/reason to freak out about you calling her and thinking that's all you want. Call her.

If she gave you a number/whatever call her personally its a sign that she wants to do something a bit more then talk >< but I guess you can wait till another party

but its better to regret talking to a person then regret never talking to them at all :/

hmm, maybe I should've been more clear... she didn't give me her email address... she told me her name, and I knew what school she was from so I looked up her email address... thats why this story is a little different... however, she did respond nicely to my email...

hmmm, she didn't give you her email and you still emailed her? I don't know there, and this was the day after the party or did you wait a couple of days? I think it might either creep her or flater her that you looked her up. Her answering your email is a good sign.

Personaly I hardly ever give out anything other than my IM thing, so that guys don't start stalking me. My advice: just don't call her or email her too much until she gets a feel for you, or she starts calling you.

She gave up any reason to be shy about it when she used that line on you. As stated above, if you don't go crazy and start e-mailing her all the time or calling her without an invitation, then all is good. I hope it works out for you.

The one time it's ever happened to me, I responded with the following: "I'm never having kids, so you can't have my baby, but you can have my penis instead"

It's ok though, she was being rude at the time. Everyone laughed. :)

Funny to have come across this thread. I'm also a part-time house DJ (local) and fortunately I come across these situations kinda often. But man, if she gave you a #, AND an EMAIL address, all I can say is that you're $. Rush it and crush it.
