I have never had a problem sleeping with someone else beside me. When my ex and I were together it got even more squished in the bed when our son would get up in the middle of the night with a nightmare and want to curl up inbetween us. When we broke up I would always lay on "my side" of the bed forgetting that I have the whole thing to sleep on. But when you do have a kid your not alone for long there will be the odd night of having them come in cause something woke them up. So you kinda adjust to having someone always there. Course there have been times with my son that I thought about going to sleep in his bed cause he ended up being upsidedown backwards or sideways in the bed and I had no room.
When I went to see Tenchi069 we were sleeping in a king size bed we ended up with a mile between us there was so much room...lol. When he stayed with me for 3 months I loved having him curl up with his arms around me. I just felt safe.

Anyway, to the point. I don't really have anything new to add, just to reinforce the whole "just get used to it" mantra. I didn't have to too much but I imagine it can't be THAT hard, it's really enjoyable sleeping with your SO...except sometimes if I'm moving too much she gets mad (in her sleep, I swear), steals the covers and bolts to the other side of the bed! No joke. But still, I love it. So warm.

I used to do the same thing with my girlfriend, but I had surgery about 1 1/2 years ago, and sleeping on my stomach feels very awkward now.

My girlfriend and I have never had a problem getting a good night's sleep together, even though we both have dorm room beds, which we all know are not big at all. I'll put my left arm under her neck, and my right arm over her, with her facing me, or even facing away from me. Either way works for us. We'll just pull each other close and fall right to sleep. Pretty much spooning.

I have to admit I am in that damned ex boat too. When I was with the x we could sleep any where. When we were in college we slept in my single matress in a loft just fine, small couch, no problem. It helped that she was really small, it counter acted my being fat. Another wierd thing was that I am a person who needs my 8 hrs of sleep. Having only 7.5 hours is enough to screw up my day. But when I slept with the x I could function perfectly on 4-6 hrs, no problem.

I assume it's something you'd have to get used to but I must say that I really like my space...when they are with you it is fantastic but when time comes to sleep I like to roll over and let that be it (I waste no time when sleep comes a calling

) As she is away though travelling atm for a few more months I must say I do miss it though!
