Girlfriend's period started during sex.
 

Last night after my girlfriend and I had finished up having sex, we were going about our usual post-sex ritual of cleaning up. I am fortunate enough to have a girlfriend who gets extremely wet, to the point where my entire pubic area is covered in her lubrication by the time we are finished. Suffice to say, a good wipedown afterwords is a necessity, even before showering. I finished wiping down, and as I was taking off the condom something just didn't look right- the tissue I had used to clean up with was covered in blood. The wierd thing is, her period is about a week early, and she didn't get any cramps beforehand.

I'm not freaked out or upset or anything like that. She was hella embarassed, but I reassured her that I wasn't upset or grossed out, etc. The whole thing just struck me as being pretty odd.

Does this seem completely wierd, or has something similar happened to you before?

I don't know what to tell you... sometimes a girl will get her period early. If she wasn't in any pain, etc, I don't see what there is to worry about...

Sometimes if she's ready to have the period then sex will just get it going. I used to be totally regular where I never was early. Now it's changed. Hormones, stress, health, so many things can affect the timing. A week early isn't abnormal at all really. If it was a constant thing it could wear her down just a little but once is no big deal. I wouldn't worry about it at all. This particular scenario has happen to hubby and I a number of times. Just the way things work sometimes.

That's good to know. Thank you. I figured it may have something to do with stress. She's been extremely stressed about finals lately, and she is also extremely homesick.

Well, the finals and everything might very well have messed things up a little, that's just normal. And if you then procede to stir it with a stick :) then it just happens. Don't worry about it, at least you're sure she's not pregnant ;)

My wife rarely starts early, but we have noticed that a good session just before her period can help kick it off. We call it the Roto-Rooter. Also, if she is at the end of her period, and we are wanting to kick things off early, she will often have additional bleeding after it (again the Roto-Rooter).

If my girfriend is within 3-4 days of starting her period and we have GOOD sex, it's a given that she'll be bleeding before the end of the night. There have been several times where she's been PMS crampy, and 2-3 orgasms later, her period's started and and she's feeling fine. All women are different, and YMMV. Nothing to worry about tho.

I didn't finger her beforehand, so it wasn't that. I'm assuming it's her period. There was quite a bit of blood. I'm assuming she's still on it since it happened on Monday night/early Tuesday morning. She's also pretty quick to inform me when it's over.

For the record (and not to freak anyone out or anything, as I'm sure you all already know), it is possible to get pregnant while on your period. My friend was conceived while his mom was on her period. She likes to tell the story of how she was on her period, using a condom, and the nurses called him nuko-sperm. lol. Not a HUGE chance, but it's possible.

Yeah, I've heard about things like that happening. As of now, she's going through the "hell day" of her period. We use condoms, and she's got her period, so right now I'm just hoping for the best :) I really wish they'd finish up with the testing on the Male pill, so I would have just that much more....security I guess. I'm a semester away from graduating and don't want to screw my future goals or her future goals by getting her pregnant.

It's happened to me, waking up the next day going to the toilet with crusty red bits amongst my pubic hair. I was like "ew" but beyond that it didn't (and shouldn't) bother me.

From what I've read and heard from others, Orgasms can serve to help alleviate the pain of cramps. Whether it is mental or physical I am not sure, but giving my GF orgasms when she's really crampy does seem to at least get her mind off of things a bit. The girl I've been with for eight months (since April) is on the shot, and was on the pill before. The hormones or whatever caused her body to react rather strangely, and she started bleeding pretty much constantly for about four months. I had this happen once. Im on the pill and of course you can tell when you are going to start your next cycle. I mean get to the end and well guess what. Anyways one day I woke up went to the washroom and noticed that I had started, but I still had a week to go with the pills. I had called the doctor and explained what was going on and she told me it was whats known as breakthrough bleeding. She said there was nothing wrong and that I just needed to come in and get a different persciption.
