The female form
So, my lady and I were having this conversation tonight, and I wanted to get input.
My position: I find the female body to be a fantastic form of art all in itself, mainly because of the continuity of the lines and curves, and the shapes that are present on the body, from the abdomen, to the breasts, to the back and neck, legs, I find it all to be extremely beautiful, in an artistic sense. Even pregnant women I find to be very beautiful on their own as well. There is still the lines and curves, the skin is still smooth and firm (another strong point), and even though the abdomen isnt defined, its still very beautiful what is inside. She doesnt understand how I can think of the female body like that, so I wanted to get input from here to see if you could put it to words how you feel about the female body better than I. Your turn. |

I know what you're saying. The female body form is completely unique. To say that it's beautiful isn't a bad thing. It's not about anything physical. It's about beauty in a non-sexual way. (altough one can lead to the other.) It's the same as saying a painting is beautiful. You don't get a hard-on, but you still appreciate it.
Can I ask what it is she having a problem understanding?

From chat:
Insignia: I understand it baby but I look at this thing every day I like the female body I think its pretty I can only guess that she wonders why I think of it as being so special and wonderful, even though I see it all the time. |

I understand how she feels.
I mean how does a woman look at a man and go "yum"? I just can't comprehend it. It's all in the way we are wired. There just something about a woman that makes me hunger. The softness, the curves, the way they move, their smell, their voice. Breasts are mesmurizing, The ass you just want to touch. Their hair stroke, their lips taste, their eyes hypnotize And the pussy is the most beautiful thing in the world. You have to be hard-wired for women to be fascinated with it that much. And she'll never understand it, then again why is she attracted to YOU as a "man"? Have her explain it. Then again, I think there is a good thread on why women appreciate men to view in the Ladies Lounge. (just do NOT comment on it...a BIG no-no) |

I dunno, I appreciate the human body as a form of art. I had a good friend who was very much into black and white photography of nudes - and there are some fantastic pieces out there. I can specifically remember a piece with a recently born baby, laying atop its mother in the direct position it would have been while it was in the womb. I can't remember the artist for the life of me. . .grrr!

A woman's body is as beautiful as a man's...in a different way.
A woman's body is good on the eyes...the curves and petite-ness on some. Even a tall strong woman can look beautiful [if you look at her in the right way]. A man's body is strong and it represents solidity. I love my Lover's body. It's like...I look at him and I think 'warmth, soft, protection.' Both sexes have their own beauty. It's just in the eyes of the beholder. |

she is wierd. lol, just kidding
I am a woman and i totally accept that. Women have such a curvacious form and I find it beautiful and my husband would agree with you, as well. Especially about the pregnant woman's body. I know he enjoyed it when I was- and so did I! I accept my body as being very beautiful the way it is. |

The male body is completely utilitarian. Broad shoulders for lifting, large calloused hands for work. Thinner waist for running and sprinting (hunting), large feet for balance. Nothing is in itself beautiful, it is for a purpose. It is like an old truck, dependable, easy to understand, and more is devoted to utility than asthetics.
But the female body is a piece of art. Curves, silky skin, long flowing hair, gentile hands, every spot from their neck to their calves are sexy. It is is like a Rolls Royce. The female body emphisizes elegance, it may not be able to lift as much, go as fast, or take the beating of the old truck, but people stop dead in their tracks when they see one. This is the best way for me to explain it. Sorry for euphemism to cars but it was the best way I could compare the two... at least how I see it. |

They way our bodies are designed is amazing. Both beautiful and functional. Our curvaceous figure is intended to serve reproductive purposes. But curves are beautiful in themselves. It isn't necessarily the sum of our parts that makes us beautiful either... each part of our body can be considered and admired separately or as it leads the observer's gaze to the next point of admiration.

its all biological
beauty is just something our mind cook up to imbed the thought of repreduction into our relatively intelligent mind
