I'm going on my first date with a friend soon and I was curious as to how far things should go? Should I kiss her? I know its not real common to kiss on a first date, but I have known her for about 6 months. Thanks for the help in advance.

Definitely. And remember, if you've been friends for a while and you've both been thinking about it going to the next level, try to make it special. Pick an appropriate time to do it like after you just shared a "moment" where it all clicked or something. Don't just jump into it, be selective. If possible, don't wait till the end of the date, do it somewhere between the middle and end of it.

DONT ACT LIKE ITS AWKWARD. Even if it is, try and hide it because you don't want her thinking its really weird, because your first date will be your last date. Just act like you are out as friends, and just think that assuming things go well, you have the possibility to make it go further now.

A really tough thing to overcome, sorry you to get you down, but if it works out its better in the long run

My current GF, and definitly the one i want to spend the rest of my life with, we started off as best friends, for a good year before we started dating. the first couple of dates were kind of different, because your not used to being in that context with that person. If you take it slow, and just have a good time you will find if there is any good chemistry/vibes that you can go with. Just go out and have a good time, if its ment to be more then just friends it will be.

Sometimes its almost better to be good friends before going out. you know what your getting

And don't try to force moments into happening, like picking activites that could get you a feel or something...unless you want that sort of thing then by all means, grope away

Totally. If you allow awkwardness in, she will assume that things can never be anything BUT awkward, and you will have one hell of a time on your hands. Just be cool, and let the evening take you wherever it will.

I think you should try to kiss her, that way you know if you really do have a connection or not.
