I am curious just how adamant others are to that area of their significant others body.

as far as, would you "strongly encourage" him/her to shave it if they went a wee bit too long without or would you just not even worry about it?

I must say, generally I don't mind too much if a girl goes without shaving for a little bit, but I must say, if a girl goes without shaving her underarms for a bit, then it is an instant complete turn-off.

I would go so far as even offering to shave my under arms if she would shave hers That is how much I want a girl to shave there, so let us not begin saying this is a double standard.. Anything I really wish a girl to do, I am willing to do myself.. I hate asking someone else to do something if I am not able to do it as well..

although me shaving my legs has never come up (probably because I would have awesome legs*grin*... thin, blonde hair = very close shave)

so what are the other peoples thoughts on this subject? (not limited to underarm... girls disliking chest/leg hair on a guy, etc)

as for having someone "suggest" that I shave, well... if I'm not poking you, you can just deal. :P but I will shave if someone asks nicely.

I don't think I'd be bothered with a little hair anywhere. If it got too thick though, I'd have to suggest a shave, and ofcourse I'd offer to shave myself too, or do some other things for her.

Good thread, I definately prefer to have legs/pits shaved. I'd even offer to do my own to make it fair. Anyone have subtle or not so subtle ways of getting someone to shave?

Even though I'm a guy, and tv told me on several occasions that it's supposed to bother me, hair has never been a priority for me. Shave or not, it's not going to change how I'm attracted to someone. (I'm, of course, not talking about the extreams)
Although, on the other hand, my girlfriend has tiny, tiny hairs on parts of her body which make her insanly more sensitive then anyone else I've ever dated. Needless to say, I have a lot of fun. So, some hair++

Personally, I don't usually need to ask my b/f to trim.. he takes care of it on his own. The only time I'll ask is if it gets in the way of oral sex. He tells me I don't have to shave unless I feel like it. I try and keep it neat and tidy even if I'm too lazy to really shave. As far as everyday body parts.. I shave my underarms regularly and my legs when I feel like it.

Me and my SO are both pretty cleanshaven folk, and wereso before we ever started dating, so it was never an issue.

I've never really dated anyone who was hairy to a point where it bothered me. OK, that's not true, but it was his personality that bothered me more, so I just broke up with him. :-P

Girls with a lot of tiny hairs can be more attractive. I dunno, maybe its got to do with the hairs retaining their pheramones for longer periods of time or something.

i dont mind small hairs.. especially if they are light in color, and you can only see them when the light hits them just right..

As I said earlier, I just don't care much for a big bush underneath the arms... Luckily, all of my girlfriends have either sheared everything off or they disliked the underarm hair just as much as I do, so it never gets to the point it bothers me.

I've asked girls to shave themselves down there... and they always have. I just told them that it was really sexy, and that the sensation for both of us would increase (which it so does). I've never been with a girl who didn't shave her armpits, which would be a turnoff for me, definetely. Unless I was blind with love, of course

Armpits and vagina I dont care too much about. My ex had this triangle of hair from her navel leading down. She was so self conscious about it. I thought it was cute though so I dubbed it the path to glory. She lightened up a bit after that.

I have encouraged a SO to shave. Well, to let me shave her. It was more about the erotic experience of being that close to a love and not about her being hairy. I really don't mind either way -- i guess i prefer a little hair, but not too much.

ugh, I wish moskie would shave more often. I like shaved dick and balls, its easier for some stuff, you know. I know a lot of guys that are paranoid about chest hair, I don't find it that terrible, I mean men have chest hair its natural I think it's ugly when they shave their chest, unless they are an olimpic swimmer.

since a lot of people have mentioned hair in the more private areas i figured I would post my opinions on that matter..

I just like anything other than the usual.. Sometimes I like her to have a little bit of hair.. It just adds a nice feeling during sex with it rubbing against me.. . Othertimes I prefer it shaved for the exact same reasons..

granted, being shaved there definatley makes oral a much more pleasant expierence... I don't know of anyone who likes to have a hair stuck in their teeth.

I love the hair my girl has on her arms, it isn't thick and you can barely see it, but it feels really good when she rubs her arms/hands all over me. As for myself, I am rocking a Jesus beard right now, I haven't shaved or had a haircut in nearly a year. I like it, and Ami doesn't complain. I don't have an SO, but if I did I'd imagine I would be partial to having her shave if she was up for it. But, I would also volunteer to shave anything she wanted me to (except for my head hair) because I've shaved pretty much every major thick-haired part of my body above my legs (which I am too thinking about shaving for the fun of it). If she didn't want to remove her hair, I imagine I'd get used to it.

Being a leg man I prefer the legs shaved..I don't lick armpits so I really don't care about a little hair there. I prefer the "dining area" shaved as well, but the top can stay.

I swim, so I always have my legs shaved. sometimes my girlfriend doesn't like it, but she deals with it. she says she feels like she is rubbing legs with another girl.

As far as the girl, I prefer the whole body being shaved (except her head of course). My girlfriend takes the time to shave her everything including her arm hair and I love it. And of course the "dining area" has to be well shaven or it's not very fun.
