Elders Getting It On.
 

I think I must be the only person that hopes my parents and my grandparents still get it on. In high school I thought it was gross (I lived under my parents bedroom), but the older I get, the more I think it is cute. When I'm their age, I definitely want to still be having sex.

I was watching Oprah with my sister and my mom, and it was about medical mishaps. There was this 60 year old man that through a mishap in surgery, his penis was removed. He talked about how until then he and his wife had sex, and now they obviously don't and he doesn't feel like a man.

After that I asked my mom, "Do you think Mamoo and Grandaddy still..........." (big pause/extension to make sure she knew what I was talking about. She said, "I don't even want to know!"

I wonder about how my grandparents ever had sex. He's 6'2" and big boned, she's 5'4" and thin.

You'd be surprised how much old people get it on!
My wife works with the elderly (which is 90% of the community here in Florida). Their sex drives get out of control...there's quite a bit of "confused" assault-type situations.

You have to knock before entering some of the rooms in Nursing Homes...if the staff sees something going on, they have to make sure it's consensual, and then give them their privacy.

There's a big seniors dating scene here, too. As their partners die or get placed in nursing homes, a lot of seniors find themselves living alone...and extremely horny. Lots of purely dating relationships.
On one hand, it's kind of gross to think about. Yet it gives me hope, in a way. Life shouldn't end when your hair turns gray.

Nah, understandable.. when i'm that old I would like to think that I am still able to make love to my wife... and that bit about that guy losing his penis in a surgery mishap.. how does that blinking happen??? dont want to know...

I don't know if my grandparents are still having sex, but I hope my parents are. They just moved off to a little place in the woods, in a very small town. I hope they're enjoying the solitude.

I hear young people occasionally have sex. Many report it as an awkward experience and they also often state how self-conscious they are about the whole subject of their bodies and intimacy - not to mention the endless cluelessness about the opposite sex.

Sometimes it's helpful to look at yourself in the same way you look at others.

It took me years to really figure out how to really make love so it is great almost every single time. Why would we want to give that up? I'm only 37, but I plan on doing this for a long, long time.

yeah, although i don't like to think about old people having sex, i'd like to think i'd stil be having sex when i am quite old :)

We're planning on torturing our kids with stories of our sexual escapades well into our 80's. That's if Mr. Happy wants to co-operate, I'm sure he'll be hip to it.

My wife has a friend who's parents brag about their exploits at dinner. Them's my kinda people! :lol: :thumbsup:

I get grossed out thinking about it...but I shouldn't, because I know I'd want to when im old.

I'll have to say that the idea of the eldery gettin' down is alittle nasty, but i hope that when i am old that i can still work it.:D

Sometimes we had married people come into the nursing home I volunteered at. Even with all the health problems they had they would get a room together and would use their alloted "private time". Hehe.. kinda creepy but who am I to stop them. I want to be able to have sex and enjoy it when I'm that old!

I agree with others.....kinda creepy to think of old people getting jiggy with it, but I hope to be doing the same when I am their ages.

My great-grandpa eddie is 92 years old. He'll be the first to tell ya that he still get's some at least once a week.

This reminds me of a comment made by comedian Bobby Slayton while I was at the Improv.

Bobby points to an OLD couple in the audience, and asks the guy how he likes viagra. His wife loudly responds, "He doesn't need it!"
