Suggested Birth Control
My gf was is on the patch but shes having allergic reactions to it and its having side affects like vaginal dryness, plus shes worried about it falling off. What methods have you used and reccomend, shes thinking about something you put in there for a week at a time, for three weeks, Im not sure what it is exactly, so any comments or suggestions please.

A lady friend of mine is on the shot (Depo-Provera), she says she likes it, its once every 3 months, removes the period, it can be used while breast feeding and may prevent some forms of cancer (uterus and womb)
Not too much bad stuff either: may take up to a year after the last shot to wear off enough to get pregnant (but can wear off after much shorter then that.

I'm on the pill and I hate it everytime I take it, it makes me nausceaous, I've tried a couple of different ones but its either that or I get really emotional on my period, like i cry all the time for no reason at all and its a pain in the ass.
I had a friend who was on the shot and she would spot all the time, she also hated it. I don't know if you don't want to use condoms or just wanna have it as a back up its a pain in the ass. I think more research should be put into developing birth control for men. :P

A choice like this can only be answered by finding what is best for the individual. There are more than one type of pill, each with different side effects. There is depo, the ring, Norplant, rhythm cycle, etc. There is an ease of use factor vs. side effects vs. reliability. Shoot for the highest reliability factor that balances out with the side effects you can tolerate. My $.02
