Kissing someone after they've gone down on you is more of an intimate fuction from what I see. I don't mind doing or recieving it. It is like a thank you. Technically they're the same fluids if you really think about it. Semen is only different because of the sperm. If you take that away you're both sucking the same stuff.

Can't say I really get the mentality; I figure tasting yourself on someone else is no big deal, after all, they're tasting it and it isn't bothering them so it can't be too bad. Most of my girlfriends haven't had a problem with kissing me afterward either (alot of them have actually been kind of turned on by it and I could expect to be pulled into a kiss as soon as they caught their breath)

My wife is the same way, she doesn't want to smell or taste herself from my face and mouth. That is huge turn on for me if she would actually like it. I have offered to do it the other way, but she doesn't like the idea of my juices in her mouth either, so oh well.
