Dry Spell
 

I am in the midst of a two-month dry spell with my wife. What is the longest spell that you have ever had with your significant other and what was the reason behind it?

I think mine has something to do with having kids and my busyness at work. For some reason, it seems that she has gradually lost interest in having lots of foreplay and such.

I've probably gone 2 or 3 months without having sex with my wife. The reason? She was mad at me about something, I think.

I am currently on a six month dry spell because of my fiancee's lack of a sex drive due to some medication she is on. Things will get better.

Partner's sex drive was absolutely absent ... begged her to try new b.c.p. and that fixed it !!

Perhaps anybody whose partner is on the low-and-no for sex should look at a different birth control pill with a higher testosterone content.

She is also on a depression med as well.

You know what I hate... The "let's get it over with" kind of mindset. Kind of puts a damper on things.

I think you mean Progesterone. They usually use a combination of progesterone and synthetic estrogen. I don't remember ever hearing of a birth control pill with Testosterone. Progesterone is the "male" hormone that they use and it usually does improve libido for most women.

Sorry to sound like a stickler I've just used about 5 different kinds of BC pills and am familiar with them.

Its been about a 6 week dry spell. The annoying thing is I am falling into my old bad... ummm self help tactics.

2 plus years. It was a combination of my self-worth issues, and her depression, family issues.

Well I win I guess.

Although she's not my wife or anything so that changes things, but still, this is a while..........

I'm on an eight month dry spell because my girlfriend is a virgin, and I'm not a cheater.

5 months every spring,when i'm away on business. (for the last three years). As far as i'm concerned, spring is the most torturus time to be away from a signifgant other.
I can feel spring creeping nearer and hate the thought of it. i just hold her tight every night not wanting to let go, and always cradel her in my arms...

Those things are a pain, my girl just started taking them again after a year or not. First one gave her constant pain, second one made her pyscotic!(really 3am she would just kick me then start shouting and stuff like that). Also they killed her want for sex. Now shes back off them its all back to normal nymph mode :)

2 months is my max back on topic, when she stopped taking the pill a year ago and had a 2 month period :/

My dry spell has currently lasted about 40 minutes. She just went home :)

I think my longest was about 2 months for medical reasons, right after junior arrived.

2-3 weeks was the longest stretch without physical reasons.

Initiate hand to gland combat positions.... comence.

I hate to be a stickler, but that's not a dry spell. You can only experience a dry spell after having sex.

Just like in that thread about the longest you have been without having sex.

Sort of a case of not missing what you never had. If that makes any sense at all.

The longest I went was a month. The only reason was that I was trying to see how long it would take for her to do something about it.

It's all good!! I should have actually taken the time to think this one out - I'm studying biotech afterall :p.

There are a number of b.c.p.s out there which can be very damaging to libido ... if I'm not mistaken, Alless is one of them .. Marvelon however is supposedly very good for a "hormonal balance". Certainly something to consider if the sex drive is low ... :D .. or call me :p

I think my fiancee had a low sex drive even before she went on b.c. So between that and depression medication and the stress of a terrible job market, she has very little desire to have sex.

3 months currently. Girlfriend left for school a month and a half before me, and now I've been at school for about a month and a half.

My longest was right at a year and for the same reason someone mentioned above. My wife was a virgin, and I wasn't going to cheat on her. The longest since marriage was about 3 months (4 weeks before and 6 weeks after childbirth).

probably weeks. but we're supposed to fuck all the time cause we're young and happy. any dry spell tend to be mostly because of school/work schedules or because we both live at home. sometime because of that time of the month in there too. just timing really.
