Why do we (people) masturbate? From what studies say, the average male orgasm lasts less than ten seconds. I can personally say that I am "hooked" on having orgams......whether it be from sex or masturbation.

SOoooooooo.....is it any wonder that our society is so easily "addictable"?

How can something that lasts for less than 10 seconds (for men), you ladies can go on forever, how can that be SO addictive???

Well, the orgasm itself i.e. the "release" of fluid may last only 10 seconds, but the pleasure received could last a lot longer. The pleasure is the release of the endorphines(sp?), and that release helps ease pain, stress, etc. If it's a really good release, you might even forget how to walk. The release of the endorphines is what we are after, and will do it many many times if we can.

For men its good too masturbate. 5 times a week reduces the chance of getting ball-cancer.

The wife and I weren't able to have sex last night due to the kids having ball games. I did it this morning just to release some tension. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it is great, but it is never bad.

This isn't something that I do like everyday but I would say maybe once a week. Sometimes its to get me going so I can suprise my hubby when he comes in from work, I'm ready and waiting and all he has to do it take his clothes off.
Another reason I do it, for example last week. My hubby was pretty sick and wanted to do nothing but sleep. After three days with no sex i HAD to do it

Just popped a porno into the dvd player and it didn't take long after that

And boredom gets my vote too. I've done it before just for the simple fact that I was pretty bored

Can you please explain how being touched by others and "lovemaking" is related to masturbation? The general implication, IMO, is that masturbation is done alone, unless it's mutual masturbation.
