Come again?
It's just a grooming technique. If you wanna look clean, ripped and smooth, shave your chest. It's likened to shaving the nuts.

I tried shaving my chest once, and I'll never do it again, I didn't like the feel of it. I only shave my balls if theres a chance someone else is going to be seeing them, that stubble can get itchy.
I've been with women that love the hairy chests and some that were indifferent, but I've never had a woman who wanted me to shave, or at least, never had a woman ask me to. |

Excepting the hair on his head, my boyfriend shaves everything but his legs. He'd probably shave them too if his hair wasn't so coarse. I don't mind a little hair, but I think shaving is pretty yummy.

The only time I get my chest shaved is when I do a stress test. They only shave two little patches to attach the monitoring pads. I've wanted to draw two eye balls in there, after the test, but the wife has no sense of humor.

It all depend on the person.
And who is attracted to a hairy or clean chest depend on the eye of the beholder. You don't need to shave to look muscular, however some men who have "cut" muscles like to show them off a bit more. It's necessary for body building contests for this reason. Some do it for swimming contests...there are a variety of reasons. I've never found it necessary, I've have a "decent" amount of hair on my front torso, not too little, not too much. And the ladies I've been with seem to appreciate it (as they play with it with their fingers ) It's a personal choice, if you shave it off to try it out, it will grow back quickly if you don't like it. There's no trend, there's no good, there's no bad. Everyone has to judge their own look and the response to it. |

Personally, I find the idea of a shaved man kind of icky. Can we all say "stubble?" My man is quite hairy, and I like cuddling up to him. Yes, tritium, it's just like a teddybear.
The only time it's ever a bother is when I find his body hair all over the bathtub and shower. I find a hairless torso paired with godzilla-hairy legs to be incredibly unattractive. No offense.

I'm hairy chest and back. My wife has been wanting to shave it. Maybe I'll give in, but man, it is hard to scratch my back when it itches.

My wife prefers the hair, everywhere but the "manhood region". As for me, I'd go get it ALL lasered off if it were up to me... head, facial hair, all of it.. It's not attractive to me on my chest or body at all.. I do think I'd need the goatee or beard tho.. I kinda feel like I look 12 without it.

I tried shaving the chest and belly for the first time recently. I realized that i am really freaking white and have really small nips. It initially itched like hell at the waistline, but besides that it is nice because if i don't shave my happy trail does a vertical lap around by torso.

I always thought that the reason professional wrestlers had no chest hair was because it falls out when you get buff. I mean, I haven't thought that in a while, but I honestly didn't know so many people shaved their chests. I would, but crotch stubble itch is bad enough, I don't think I'd like it on my chest also.
