Hold your SO...
 

Hey all, just a nice little post to find out... how do you hold your SO? Wrapping arms around from behind, from front, over the shoulders or around the waist, tightly, loosely, hands on sides, snuggling, etc... share with us your favorite way to hold or be held.

Mine is to hold my girl from behind, and wrap my arms around her, kind of just below the shoulders. It's the perfect height.

Well, I've got nobody to hold, and nobody to hold me. But if the planets shall someday position themselves and I were to find somebody, well, I like being held in any way possible.

There's nothing like a good cuddle. Now excuse me while I drown myself in my hot chocolate.

i think i will be joining Averett in the chocolate swimming pool, sounds like fun.

Although as for holding q, i think what your (analog) describing is what i like to do as well.....

Well, the relationship I'm in at present is very very new, so there's a lot I haven't tried. But at present, my favourite thing is to "spoon" with my head on his back, between his shouldblades. Bonus points if he's just taken a shower and his skin is all warm and sweet-smelling.

I like "spooning," or having his head on my chest with my arms wrapped around him. I also like curling up on his lap with my head on his shoulder.

I like it when I wake up and we are spooning and I have NO recollection of ever moving into the position, it just sort of happened.

I hold my wife (of 1 1/2 months) all sorts of ways, but the one that probably gets the most use is in bed where I'm laying on my back and she's beside me, head on shoulder and leg draped over.

lurkette and I are highly skilled at the Mixed Doubles Freestyle Snuggle.

All of them. Spooning, or enveloping a smaller girl from behind, or facing to whisper in each other's ear, or on the sofa with her head on my chest... they're all good.

Although I'll join Averett and Sleepyjack in the singles' hot-choc society for the moment.

I'm very physical by nature, so ANY holding/touching is good, but I especially like coming up behind my sweetie unexpected and putting my arms around her and killing the nape of her neck.

Since the reclining positions have pretty much been covered, I'll add my favorite standing hold. I'm a little more than a foot taller than her. She folds her arms into her chest and I wrap mine around her back, putting the top of her head at the perfect height for reassuring kisses. Good after a hard day at work.

Lebell likes killing the nape of her neck. I like kissing it, myself. ;)

My favorite position to hold her in is face to face, chins on each others' shoulders, arms and legs wrapped tightly around each other.

My favorite position for her to hold me in is when she spoons me from behind and her arms wraps around my side. I usually end up holding her hand against my chest. She calls it "hugging my back", and I love it. :D Highlight of my nights.

Yeah, I love that one, especially when she is a little wet. Even if we are too tired to have sex, I love that feeling of moisture on my upper leg.

Time to join everyone in the Hot Chocolate fest... I wish she would either break up with me or come home.

No preference as long as we are touching... Even after 15 years together she still sends a thrill through my body when we touch...

I never would have guessed it was possible.

hmm..we hold each other however/whichever way works.

some positions of standing/sitting are a bit awkward, because i'm 5'0" and he's like 6'+..

but laying down, our most oft snuggling position is him on my side facing the outside of the bed, and me doing the 'hugging' his back thingy Thrae described...usually with my bottom arm under my head/pillow, and the other one wrapped around him somehow or just resting on his side/hip.
(or sometimes carefully cupping his 'package'. i love doing that!)
that's the standard 'until-he-falls-asleep' position...

sometimes we face each other too, i love that, holding each other.

It doesn't matter to me how we hold each other. My favorite though is holding her from behind while standing. I can move my hands wherever I want and I can nibble on her neck if I need to. As for being in bed, again it really doesn't matter. My wife's favorite position is cradled into my right shoulder.

Well since my girl lives 4hours away from me, the first thing that always happens when i see her, is that she runs and jumps at me...i love holding her up with her legs around my waist. But my favorite is when we're chilling on the couch, and she does that little snuggle move where she curls up in a ball, but puts her arms around my arm and leans her head up against me. She looks so damn cute when she looks up at me.

I love being held from behind...or should I say I really miss being held from behind. Other than that - it's all good....any time you are being hugged or held it's gold.

*sigh* Well that just got me all depressed....I think I'll go dig my heart out with a spoon - that sounds like fun. :(

I love to be held by my Hal. That's all there is to it.

My favorite is when I sneak into his room in the mornings and wrap my arms around him, lay down next to his side and wait for him to wake up. There's nothing more amazing than seeing the look of joy in his eyes as he finds me there.

Laying: with my head cradled in his arm and my leg draped over his (like so many of us!)
Sitting: between his legs with his arms wrapped gently around me.

i'm actually not a fan of spooning. its tooo restricting when i want to sleep and i'm not a very cuddly sleeper :T i guess i'm just too used to sleeping alone

Pardon the newbie here, but what's spooning?

I like it when we are laying down and I am on my side facing away from him and he is behind me, one arm under my neck as a pillow and one over my side. That is the best because I feel so warm and safe and loved.

I like being held close to his chest, close to his heart.

Spooning is basically when you lay side by side with somebody. Usually you're facing the same direction and the person on the "outside" sort of hugs the person on the "inside"

Man, you guys are already getting too cute for social outings. ;) Makes me happy to see, though.

She loves to be held either at the wakeup or just side by side with one arm on her waist... fine with me, it feels good to have my hands on her.

I like it when she hugs me period, from front or behind, any full arm wrap is great.

I remember before I actually had a gf, trying to figure out the properway to hold someone ie. do my arms go higher up the body than hers. I would watch tv a movies and thought there was a right and wrong way.

I figured it out... whatever feels right
