Well, just bought my first sex toys tonight (for the g/f). Hopefully, we will get to test them out tomorrow, my birthday! :D

Here is my question: are all brick and mortar sex shops overpriced? I paid $72 for a glass dildo and cheap vibe, which I don't suppose it too expensive. However, I was looking for some wrist restraints, and they had some nice looking velvet lined leather cuffs, but they were $54! :eek:

A bottle of Astroglide was $18.95! :lol:

Are prices that much lower online? What sites would you recommend? Where can I find those cuffs for less than $54?

Online I have only bought from Adam and Eve. Quality site, in that you get your merchandise as advertised. Online shopping, I tend to stick with a site with which I have had good luck before.

Better yet, if you want instant gratification, get a price for an item online, then take the price to a sex shop. If you talk to a manager, you can normally get them to price match (as long as it's the same EXACT item) so you can have it that very day for the online price. So weird. You can tell I work in retail.

We have a cool sex shop here called 'Forbidden Fruit' and since we're in Texas we have to use the PC term for things.. Dildo's are 'educational models' hehe, its hilarious :o

I don't think I would feel comfortable pricematching online stores against with a brick-n-mortar store. They have to inflate prices to pay employees/rent/etc. Plus with a local store, you get the beauty of instant gratification.

Stick to purchasing online. Go to the local shop to get a feel for the products and see what they are like, then order them online. Much cheaper.

Yes. Bondage and restraint items are usually ass-expensive. You're better off buying that kind of equipment at a booth during a fair (dunno where you are of if you have any). The vendors at fairs are better priced, but still not cheap. These toys are NOT cheap, not even the cheap ones.

prices are lower online but half the fun is going in there and playing around.
