Well, that was a new one.

My SO just mentioned, for seemingly no particular reason, the concept of filming myself and her during various activites. My perspective, hers, a tripod off to the side ...

She discovered my digital camera over the summer, and took a few surprise pics when I was walking out of the shower once, but nothing really with that as the focus. It's just that she's never mentioned filming before, and I never thought to because she didn't seem like she'd be interested.

But ... well ... damn.

To the question below: We've been engaged for two years, dated for a year before that.

Anyone else have a girl who's into this? Suggestions? Advice? Tips? Anything?

Don't return any of those to the video store by accident. And don't leave them in the VCR or DVD player (or digital camera) when you're done. Have one place where you always keep the, uh, personal recordings.

Right now I've just got an 8mm, so that's pretty easy to control. Been considering a DV for other purposes, but not sure about having them stored in that fashion. One unpatched security hole could really ruin my day there. :P

I obviously wouldn't want either family seeing it. That's just wrong - I mean, walking in on your brother or sister getting it on would be disturbing enough - but actively seeking it out is an eight-piece combo of Chicken McNasty.

Used against me? If it was her idea and she was more than willing, I find it hard to think that she'd use it against me. I can't see the parents "using it against me" - maybe just disowning the both of us. :P As far as "friends" seeing it?

How "significant" is your SO? Is this an "all signs pointing toward marriage or equivalent", or "we've kinda been dating for a couple of weeks now"? Is there a reasonable chance that you two won't be together in the future, and who will have control of these images then? Just things to think about...

Why would you ever want to create a weakness for yourself? If you're doing something you don't want others to see, creating hard recordings of it is not an exceptionally good idea.

just make sure if you ever (god for bid) break up you get the tapes!!

It is great to do it for the camera... specially when it is so very intense. a tripod will work but it is best to have a friend do the camera work that way it can get the intensity.. It is the pits to have it all set up and have the camera off just enough to miss the good parts. Plus you dont have to worry about posing or making sure your in the right spot.... And after you do it a couple time it is wild to role play or include a bit of bound sex

Hubby and I have tried it a number of times. First time he refused to even let me see it (8mm) once he caught a glimpse of himself. Yes the camera can be cruel. Once we just looked past the insecurities about our bodies personally we had fun. Trying to find more things to do on cam that were sexy or entertaining. We have cammed for other couples before even. It's been fun. watched them cam for us and shared comments and such. We haven't done to much of it lately - partly because the little one doesn't go to bed early enough and we've been so busy and tired we're not interested in setting the equipment up before we can play. If you can just forget it's there (while staying within the area that the camera is focused on) then you can really have some fun. We have saved only one tape I believe so far. Mostly gone to taking still pics since we have more control of how we look and what image we show. Since we're married I don't think there's any concern about them getting out. Personally I don't care if family or friends see the videos. Not that I'm going to show them. Also there's no one way they could use them against me since we have been married - I mean it's obvious what we do. lol
