I just met this chick on Sunday (the day i moved back into college). I got hammered that night and had fun nonetheless. we were drinking in some girls room and havin a blast. I had just met these chicks earlier in the day too; but i had known one from last year. Anyways, i got up to go piss and after i came out i looked in the living room and saw this chick i had been eyeing on the couch by herself watching sportcenter. Immediately i thought "hell ya, a girl that likes sports" so i sat down and started talking to her and found out that she hates the Yankees just as much as i do. Again another plus in my book along with the fact that she likes baseball.

So as the night progressed i slowly started to make my move on her. Every time she went to the bathroom and came back to the couch my arm was closer and closer around her. Eventually I got my arm all the way around her and we actually ended up holding hands. she was laying down on me and she actually fell asleep. i ended up leaving that night at 2am.

I've never met such a cool chick in my life. shes so down to earth and cool about everything. I actually went running with her, which she liked, and also to lunch in the caf, again which she enjoyed, and we had good conversation. We ended up watching movies all this week with my roomates and hers in my room and we got a lot closer. I guess you could say that we got to some "light petting"

I was going to ask her if she wanted to go watch one of my friend's bands play here on campus but she went down to San Diego for the weekend to visit her friend. So i cant wait for her to come back. Im going to ask her if she wants to do something next week, just the two of us. Hopefully i can make my move and go in for the kiss. I've never felt this way about a girl before tho. My past 2 gfs i have never really been "in love" with or had feelings like this for before. It was all physical.

Coming into this year my mentality was "get as much pussy as possible." Now it has changed. All I want to do is hang out with her. The theory of "get all the pussy i can" has been thrown out the window. Its weird.

Sounds like something significant... it seems whenever I see a "player" type guy appreciate the slow, simple things about relationships with girls, it's usually a great indicator of things to come, as long as she's there with you in the attraction arena. Be sure of yourself, but take it easy- she may or may not be up for as much as you are, and you don't want to scare her off.

UPDATE: she came back early last night from Oceanside and I was over in their room cuz we were gunna watch Boondock Saints but we couldnt hook up the DVD player we brought cuz their tv is ghetto....anyways after her friend dropped her off we watched Double Jeopardy and she came over and sat down by me and laid down. Again we got to light petting. After the movie was over all her roomies went to bed and it was just us out there. We talked for quite a bit while watching the infomercial for the Vacuum Saver Plus, cuz we both love infomercials, especially the Showtime BBQ one cuz we have it memorized.

so it gets to be late and she starts cuddling up to me and we're getting closer. we ended up talking about our EXs and stuff and i was cracking jokes and making her laugh. I started kissing her forehead a few times and on like the 3rd or 4th one she looked up at me and we kissed (and it was a GOOD kiss). it was awesome. we ended up talking more about us after and kissed more. she thought that i didnt like her for some odd reason. she thought because i was drinking on sunday that it was all the alcohol, but it wasnt. there was a real attraction/connection going on. i ended up staying in her room last night and it was AWESOME!! I couldn't be happier right now. I just got back from brunch with her and her roomate and before we left we kissed and hugged. This is going to be the start of a really good relationship.

Cultural difference here...
When I refer to light petting I'd mean gentle kissing for a length of time.
Heavy petting would be heavy snogging and perhaps some under clothes fumbling.
