Precum / Birth Control
This has been a concern with me and my gf....can precum get her pregnant? We both would really love to have sex without a condom, but birth control is tough to get. What are some ways we can get birth control. I dont know of any off-the-counter birth control. So,
1. Can precum get her pregnant 2. If it can, what are some ways for her to get on birth control. (easiest & private ways... would be great if it was anonymous?) |

1.yes yes YES
2.other than condoms, it's gonna require a doctors visit. Planned Parenthood Clinics might be the way to go, it's fairly private. There is NO way to safely start a hormonal birth control/be fitted for a diaphram etc and remain completely annonymous.

1. Absolutely. I don't care HOW early you pull out, precum is baby batter just the same.
2. If you're in small town, USA and just can't let anyone know about it, you're basically fucked. Even if you can get a prescription out of town or some other private way, you're not going to drive out of town every month to have it refilled, are you? If you can't go to a doctor, you sure as hell will be just as bad off taking it to your local drug store. Those people will talk even more than the doctor's office- although, there are laws about that. The newest and strongest one is called HIPPA, the Health and Information Privacy Protection Act. Good luck getting what you need- until then... WEAR A CONDOM! What the fuck is so hard or bad about it? Suck it up, man! If you can't be a big enough man to not wear a condom when other methods of prevention are unavailable, how big a man will you be when you hear her say "i'm pregnant"? If you think sex with a condom is so horrible, try having any sex with a baby to take care of. I'm not putting ya down, I'm just trying to help you see the light before it's too late. Peace. |

1. Yes it can.
2. If you're looking for "secret" birth control. Use condoms. Why does it need to be her on birth control, anyway? Is she the one asking for it or is it just you? If it is just you, I'm with analog. Walk into almost ANY store and buy a box. If you're worried about what people will think if you buy them, then you're probably not ready (mentally mature enough) to be having sex.

1. Kind of related thread: http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthr...ghlight=precum Of course you can get her pregnant from precum, it contains sperm too. Don't stop using condoms unless you are willing to risk being a father. The prayer method is very ineffective.
2. Planned Parenthood or over the counter stuff like condoms.

If you are able to buy condoms at the local CVS ..... why can't you get birth control pills from the pharmacy? I don't really see the difference. Either way someone is gonna find out you are doing some hanky panky. |

Birth Control is tough to get? Waaa??? www.condoms.com Well, I dont know if that's a website, but you get the idea. From what I've heard, they ship condoms in plain brown wrapping. And as was said before, if it needs to be so secret, maybe you shouldnt be having sex in the first place!

Amazon sells them? Really? That's hilarious!
Just suck it up and buy em. Sheesh. I'd buy em, and I'm a girl. If I were to ever have sex again, that is....

I can get condoms and all that stuff easily, I do it all the time. Its just her...she's still on her parent's insurence and doesnt want her parents to find out about any doctor's visits or birth control stuffs. She's expressed alot of interest in the new patches. She's just concerned that if she does go that there'd be a bill that told her parents what kind of perscription she got or raise questions about a visit. Not sure how far docter-patient privacy goes... thats the only real setback.

How old are you both?
If you're having sex, you should be mature enough to be able to talk to your parents about it. That's about the bottom line. What will happen if the condom breaks and she gets pregnant? Surely her parents will realize that she's had sex then... I'm not trying to be a bitch, just a realist.

Yeah, and whats more, you know how Amazon does this thing were you can buy an item new from them or used from other people. They have a link for buying it used. Now I'm sure they are not used but it is pretty funny seeing "Like new" next to an ad for condoms. Last edited by Harshaw; 09-03-2003 at 01:37 PM.. |

Have her talk to her doctor. I'm sure a general visit will only show up as a visit. Or try a doctor at a free clinic. You don't have to use insurance to buy perscriptions, they are just cheaper that way.

i dont want to get too political but....
i dont have all the figures and names in front of me but i learned in a class i took that a lot of european countries subsidize birth control pills and not surprisingly have lower teenage birth and abortion rates. the kids are having more sex there as well. i wish we had cheap and confidential access to the pill in the united states. |
