Believe me, once you pass that threshold where your frontal lobe is developed, you will go...WTF just happened? Why did I make all these crummy decisions?

Tell me about it. I was a Libertarian until my frontal lobe fully developed.

I immediately thought the problem is, you drink too much beer - you get beer goggles when girls go by.

I have the opposite problem, I get more judgmental and picky when I drink.

I lose the ability to speak when I get drunk, and just stand there staring wordlessly into middle distance with glazed eyes. But certainly before that stage I think the "animal" side of me comes out more - meaning you are more likely to do things you would normally repress - be it getting into a fight or having relations when normally you either wouldnt want to or wouldnt have the courage to get yourself into the situation.

Just typing this reminds me of what went on the Ipswich Beer Festival in 2010. I had the normal number of pints I would of lager, but was having all of these mega strong bitters/real ales that were much stronger. Or maybe I had more pints, but I started off having a normal number. I ended up:

1 - falling over in the hall for no reason, while trying to talk to a German guy in German (with a vocabulary of 100 or so German words on my part)
2 - sending a series of a "sex texts" to an ex girlfriend
3 - having an incident (not sex but bad enough) with some hippy girl who had a nose ring and was dressed like a witch
4 - rebroke the two fingers I broke playing football by punching a road sign on the way home (no idea why)
5 - somehow lost my shirt on the way home
6 - slept about 18 hours once I managed to stagger home

_

Thats a good example of why I dont drink anymore.

But on the topic in hand, at least SOME people would consider that sort of behaviour "laddish" from a male, but absolutely outrageous from a woman... its a bit of a double standard. Not that any girls I know would be stupid enough to punch a metal road sign however drunk they were.

I think it's a psychological reaction to knowing that beer goggles happen and trying to avoid it, which stems from my usual college hangout spot being a dive bar where wearing open-toed shoes puts you at risk for STDs not yet classified by the medical community. No joke, I once stood in the same spot for about 20 minutes and had trouble unsticking my shoe from the floor.
