yes, i've known and dates several kinky, perverted girls. so i'm not questioning that at all

but i'm just curious if female sexuality is that different, probably due to a combination of physiological and most definitely socialization different from ours.

Nothing is really written in stone when it comes to fetishists, sand sounds pretty good. I think many have aleast one fetishists that they don't speak of.

I'm a guy, but I have a few thoughts on fetishes in general.

I think the popular perception among psychologists is that that fetishes develop during childhood, before we become fully sexually aware. I remember being 7 or 8, having a variety of children's toys, putting on the pair of police handcuffs (with quick safety release, of course,) when my parents weren't around and almost instantly getting an erection. I'm not 100% sure whether it embedded itself in my memory or whether it just made me aware of a fetish I had years before I understood what sex was, but to this day bondage is arousing to me. It's a bit difficult since I find the humiliation and degradation typically associated with bondage completely unattractive, but it's just a kink I have, nothing I require to get off.

In my experience, I've also come across women with fetishes just like men have -- common things like feet and fat, more obscure stuff like piss and scat (which, for the record, disgusts me,) and more extreme but not harmful stuff like full involvement in BDSM including master/slave relationships. It's part of human development and I firmly believe that the differences have to do with societal attitudes toward male and female sexuality rather than a fundamental difference between men and women.

ignoring that women and men are different physiologically, they are sexually socialized different than men. which leads to my observation that men are more likely to objectify, or be attracted to objectified parts of a female.

in my opinion women are far less fetishistic than men.

That doesnt mean that many women dont enjoy sex... but I think far less women (for example) like the idea of high heel shoes more than the actual sex itself, or want to dress all in rubber, or pretend theyre a big baby, or whatever else these people get up to.

I think this is because women in general are less alienated from sex than some men.
