yeesh, annoying possesive semi crazy gal
 

So, ok, I liked her a lot at first. Then she told me days later she has a boyfriend. I'm like ok...fine. Let's remain friends (we all do something social together). But almost every time I chat with her she is comparing me with her boyfriend and how great he is...I'm like ok....we all have our preferences. But she sees him as a 10+ in a scale of 1-10 and won't shuttup about it. Not sure if we can remain friends if she keeps up this odd and annoying talk. Any advice? She's even gone so far as to question who I'm dating and how they match up to her. :no: :rolleyes:

Alright.., So what exactly are you wondering about? As far as general advice goes, I'd get out of dodge as quick as possible. The fact that she keeps bringing up the topic of her SO around you tells me that you aren't a contender for that role.

Find some other friends that aren't shallow and completely insecure.
Oh and BTW if you remain in her proximity she will make a play for you that will complicate your life at some point in the not so distant future.

There's two sides to every story--this is your interpretation of events. For all we know, Zeraph, she could talk about her boyfriend a handful of times, and you might be construing that as "she talks about her boyfriend all the time".

The fact is, girls who have boyfriends that they admire do like to talk about them. I'm sure I got annoying to some of my friends when I was first with my husband and would drone on and on about how wonderful he was.

I don't see how she is crazy or possessive. Annoying, yes.

Have you clearly communicated with her that you find these behaviors annoying?

If she annoys you so much the question you should ask yourself is: Just why do I want to remain friends with her?:confused: There are so many fish in the sea. Unless she is a friend of long standing, why not just move on?:shakehead:

I'd like to remain friends because we game together. Its not that she admires her boyfriend (which is a semi loser that's high 90% of the time and works at starbucks) but she'll go, "no offense he's just better than you [variable]..." and it comes up in about 3/4ths of our conversations. I'd say that's a bit much. Its more the comparison that is really starting to piss me off. I'm about ready to say STFU up I don't give two shits.

She probably thinks you are still trying to get with her, or feels that for some reason her choices in her relationship/partner are being questioned or challenged. Typically statements such as "he's better than you" are a response to something. But I'm sure that's totally not the case, at all. You'd never say anything bad about her boyfriend. She must be crazy.

Make up a mythical new "love interest" and talk about how much prettier she is than her. That's all I've got.
