How to give a really good massage?

I know that everyone loves a good massage. I am not too bad at giving them, but there is always room for improvment. I was wonderng if anyone can give me a few tips and possibly any links that can help out. Thanks.

Use your tongue.

Purchase some almond oil and use that. Works great, doesn't smell nasty and is really rich in Vitamin E.

Go slow. Take your time with it. Massages aren't any good if they are rushed. And don't use too much pressure, just a little bit will do.

You might try going and having a massage done by a professional. It will cost a small amount of $ but you should get a good idea of what feels good and what doesn't.

Of course to get those, I gotta go visit the professionals. :(

Using your whole body to massage someone else reduces the stress on your fingers and hands which gives you better stamina for a good long massage. Massage lotions and oils also really help reduce friction which makes it easier for you. It doesn't really count as a massage until you do it for 10 or more mins. Try varying massage methods (switch from fingers to kneading to knuckles, etc.) and pressure. Never take both hands off the back. Always leave at least one doing a little massaging because taking both hands off can quickly ruin the mood for the person being massaged. Avoid massaging the spine, but usually the muscle to the sides of the spine could usually use a massage. Try to identify knots (they feel like clumps of muscle) and work on those, but don't spend too much time in one place on the back. You can always go back to it later.

I suggest the book, "The Erotic Massage the Touch of Love" by: Stubbs and Saulnier. It has excellent step by step directions, with pictures, for every body part! Easy to follow and feels great!

I went for a few massages last year when I fuct up my back. The chick used her elbow to put pressure on certain spots. I have since used this technique on my wife. It is real y good for applying pressure and does not tire your wrists and hands.

There are so many different ways to give good massages. With your hands, feathers, lotions, oils. Take your time and do it up right. Don't leave any body parts untouched, and make sure the person is totally naked if you want the full pleasure of an all over tongue and/or body massage :D

take your time, put sensuality and feeling into your touch and it will be noticed by the recipient.

Start with the back. 90%+ of the people of the world carry tension in their back. Start with broad pressure from the heel of your palms and long flowing strokes, up the spine, over the shoulders, and more lightly down the sides. (Pressure on kidneys == Bad.) Gradually move to more local strokes with more specific pressure points, like the side of your thumb or the tips of your fingers.

And a few random tips:

- Use all different surfaces to push with to keep any one from getting tired or insensitive.

- If your partner wants more pressure, use your weight, not your muscle, to keep from being tired out. Lean, don't push.

- And yes, use some sort of oil. Bring it to body temperature in the cup of your hand before applying it.

- Listen closely to your recipient and take your cues from there.

I know this probably is'nt what your looking for, but getting a second person to help can make for a really interesting exsperiance. Probably the least weird setup for this would be to either get a mutual femail freind to help or hire a pro.

All I can say is that haveing four hands working your back can be really amazeing, particularly if communication is good. On the downside it prevents things from passing much farther than a massage :(
