Pegging Mentioned in Mainstream Media!
 

I know, I'm probably more tilted than most on this forum (with my love of strap-on sex...), but this really made my day... :D

Dan Savage, sex advice columnist and podcaster, was a guest on the Colbert Report November 29th. Imagine my surprise when Dan brought up the subject of Pegging! For those of you who don’t know this – the term ‘Pegging’ was actually coined by Dan Savage with the help of his listeners/readers in June of 2001. He was looking for a word meaning “strap-on sex” that was specifically describing the heterosexual activity. He took suggestions and then held a vote. Pegging won by a significant margin. Now the word is in Wikipedia.

I think this may be the first time Pegging was mentioned on public television. If you watch the whole clip, Pegging gets brought up again at the end (appropriately…)!

I guess Colbert is not interested in trying it out… :-(

I hadn't heard the term 'pegging' before. I like it. Simple and to the point.

I wouldn't call The Colbert Report mainstream though. When I think of mainstream media, I think of prime time. Plus, its a comedy show... I'm sure they've mentioned more deviant sexual acts before.

In that case, you're not paying enough attention to ratings or have a warped definition of what "mainstream media" actually means. This is basic cable, which includes CNN, ESPN, FoxNews, USA Network and TBS. Not to mention that the Colbert Report is actually on DURING "prime time" (8-11 East and West, 7-10 Central and Mountain).

But your point about other sexual acts is probably accurate, especially if Dan Savage has ever been on before. He's hilarious, so I hope he's on again.

Also, even if you don't have cable television, Colbert Report is easily watched online.

Colbert is mainstream in what passes for the mainstream these days.

Pegging, however, is not all that mainstream. But really, it's just a matter of time until it is.

I'd love to try it...don't know any ladies personally into it though (prob mostly bc it's not a common thing to talk about and most people automatically attach latent homosexuality with it which is ignorant)

I have to agree with the last post. I would love to try it but my husband thinks it would make feel like less of a man. He won't have it.

We do it. We love it, I as much as she, and I take a great deal of pleasure from it, as i do many other sexual practices. I do not feel any less of a man. I look at it as a certainty that I will soon be balls deep in her backside, every time she goes into mine.

Thank you, google...kinda/sorta. I thought this was referring to figging...not so much. Yep, got the two mixed up. Whatever floats one's boat I suppose. Neither sound overly appealing to me.
