I got married about two months ago to a girl that I had dated for four years. She was a virgin when we were married. Things are going great except for one small thing....sex. Be gentle. Don't force anything. Hold back for a while. Slow down. Listen to her. She will adapt to you in time. Don't make it a dreaded experience, whatever you do. You're about an inch and a half bigger than average, girth wise (according to Ansell's survey), or around 30% bigger than normal. Anyone who thinks size is all gravy can come ask you about the drawbacks 8).

Seriously, though, my suggestion here would be to proceed with the same kind of advice normally given for people who want to try anal. Work your way up. Start with fingers, and slim vibrators or dildos. Get her accustomed to being penetrated, and comfortable, because the pain in the past has probably made her clench up even more.

Also, consider brief penetration - don't try and go until you hit orgasm; work around for a short while, and get off some other way, taking longer over time.

Encourage her to say if she feels like she's begining to get sore, and make it clear you're happy to get off with a handjob or oral after withdrawing (assuming she's comfortable with that).

I had similar issues with a girl friend long ago. With the pain of the first few attempt, she was very gun-shy and that made it much worse. She’d involuntarily clench up and that was that.

May I suggest lots of foreplay. Get yourself off, first, without penetration. Then you and she can play with a, less-than-intimidating monster-cock; it's easier to remove the gun-shyness when it's flaccid. UPDATE...

Things have been going much better as of late, but yesterday was truly a milestone in our sex life. It was the first time that after finishing she wanted to do it again right away.

I really appreciate everybody's advice. If anybody else is having similiar problems I would advise them to be gentle, understanding, and patient.

I was in the same situation 12 years ago. She was a virgin on our wedding night and was basically a bit psycho when we first did it (her mom had really done a number on her about sex being bad). There was almost no foreplay. Her hymen ripped in such a way that she was constantly bleeding. We had to go to the hospital for it.
