non latex condoms
of course no one likes condoms, but they can be more than useful sometimes.
one of the things that i hated most about condoms was that horrid cheap latex smell. i started using durex avanti condoms which are made of polyurathane and they're pretty tight! (pun intended or not) they are also supposed to be thinner and transfer body heat better which i'm not too sure about cause it still feels like a raincoat, but i don't miss that chemical smell at all. (i only want one or two smells after sex and they better be coming from somebody not something.) dt

I like the polys as well, but the cost deters me. With as much doin' it as I do it would cost me around 3-4 times as much a week... ouch.
Pros: They do transfer heat better, I noticed after running out one night after switching to latex, they are nice and sheer, and they don't smell to high heaven. Cons: They don't stretch (though I've never had one fail), and they crinkle. Yes, they crinkle. It can be kind of distracting. Oh, and as for disease protection, polyurathane is a non-porous material, its just doesn't have FDA approval yet. |
