The Ugly Truth
This movie got me thinking, about one line in particular.
"if you aren't interested in having sex with yourself, why do you expect a guy to be interested?" I wonder how much influence this really has. I enjoy sex immensely. With anyone who has had a conversation with me that has gotten around to sex, you will find I'm quite frank about my view without necessarily revealing each and every single detail about my sex life. But I feel there's no secrets. I enjoy learning my own body through masturbation. I immensely enjoy learning about my partner's enjoyments and improving my skills to the point where their eyes roll back into their heads. While I may not have instant sex appeal with the average male or female walking by, those who engage me in conversation about the subject find an excited and willing participant. These are often the same people who've come back to say that a sexual encounter with them and me would be a fun experience. What do you guys think? Does your perception of sex and your role in your own sexual enjoyment change the dynamic of your sexual interactions?

I have sex with myself every day, at least once. I find every creative way possible to do it. Standing on my head, at work, on the john, with soap, with conditioner, with lube, dry, spit, whatever. I do agree and feel that makes me a much more interesting lover. My wife does not do this or have these urges. While she is a great lover in her own right, she is not creative in bed, or as confident.

Standing on my head makes me laugh.. Good for you for trying to make it work.

LMAO. Well, I was just curious. I ended up with a headache afterward, but at least it was a new sensation!
The splatter that landed on the floor in front of me was...amusing.

How could this not be true? Being unaware of your own body would obviously make sex a far less enjoyable experience. Sex isn't all magic; it's not like it doesn't take technique and thought.

Arguably, this forum is going to probably provide more skewed answers than the public at large.
The context of this quote came from the main female character saying she's never been one of "those girls" and doing any sort of self pleasure. She then promptly recieves a gift which contains remote controlled vibrating panties. Hilarity ensues.

In my own experience, the women I've been with who did not masturbate were much worse in bed than those that did. It is probably a corrollation/causation aspect, but regardless it's been very true. I think it has more to do with the mental state of whether or not sex is taboo or not, that those who are more open about it are also more open to enjoy it and try new things regarding it.
