Personally, I'd probably never pay out-of-pocket for this. That being said, I probably wouldn't turn it down as a gift.

I had a conversation with a cab-driver in Vegas once where he told me that due to his late shift, he often took hookers home at about 4am. Exhausted women, having him stop by the 24-hour daycare to pick up their kid, hitting the 24-drive thru for something to eat, and then taking them to some forsaken dump. This old guy simply looked worn out by all of it and he told the story like it had happened so many times that he was numb to all of it but he was still too alive not to notice it.

On the one hand it took a couple of extra vodka tonics and a great time at the Foundation Room with a sweet brunette from San Francisco to wipe out that story, temporarily, but I am so glad I heard it. If there were any chance that I would, that story did it for me. No ranches, no strip-club offers, no casino prowlers, no "escorts" and certainly no street-walkers; just getting that small glimpse into what it is really like - no way. I want no part of it.

Hell, I won't even go to strip clubs unless it is for bachelor parties.
