The Slippery Slope
I suppose this isn't a sex question per se, but I figure it's related. Does anyone know any good method for dealing with spilled silicone lube? Lol. No experience with the stuff and of course managed to spill that awful *tiny* bit on the tile floor, which has now turned into a general area of slickness.
Constant toweling has reduced the hazard, but it's still a bit slippery. I've heard soap and water, of course, but isn't that just to facilitate washing it away, (i.e. from skin)? I can't exactly hose down the whole room in order to flush it out. |
Simple Green or dishwashing liquid should work.

If a degreaser doesn't work, a solvent like rubbing alcohol or oven cleaner (I found that one when I googled, but I would be hesitant to try it) might work. It might very well eat the shiny coating from your floor, too. I sprayed "scrubbing bubbles" on my bathroom floor to remove a stain. The vinyl flooring is now dull. I'd suggest testing a small spot first.

Simple Green is my cleaning hero. That stuff works on everything.
Also, despite (or maybe because of) it being in sexuality, I'm vaguely disappointed that this thread isn't about Slipe and Slides. |
Try calling the manufacturer? I see a phone number at Wet Lubricants By TRIGG Laboratories, Inc., for instance, or ID Lubricants by Westridge Laboratories, Inc..

Silicone is soluble in hydrocarbon based solvents. Try mineral spirits, a toluene-based paint thinner, or anything containing benzene. They should lift it right off and none should hurt a ceramic finish.

I'm with Martian - this thread title threw me off completely. I was expecting a funny story about how your girl gets too wet and then ends up sliding halfway down yer leg. :)
But yeah...listen to the cleaning experts above. They know their shit more often than not. |

I had this same problem. I had a bottle of lube explode on me in backpack.
That was interesting. |

Brake cleaner (available in an aerosol bottle from Autozone/walmart/etc) eats everything, as long as it's safe to use on your tile (test in a corner/under the refrigerator)
