Friends with Benefits
How long before FWB become less or want more?
|
You need to say a little more in your post... etiquette is to give some background to your question, at least.

Please give us some details. If it's a question of someone else stumbling across those details, there are ways around that. Just let me know. |

It an elipse, not a circle... :D |
42.
... FWB is a Rubik's cube created by this bizarre sexually-liberated generation. Damned if I'm not a part of it right now, but I prefer not to be. She's okay, but her brain is too small for me in the long run. The holes are accommodating, though. |

The man makes his first attempt and you can't even put some thought into the answer? You obviously have no experience with FWB. I have studied this extensively and FWB do NOT take 11 weeks, unless they weren't really a friend to start with. Its well known than a FWB will metamorphosize into something else after PRECISELY 14 weeks. |
[1/(hotness on the "better than using your hand" scale) + (years known, in months)*(hotness on the "Christina Applegate from Married with Children" scale)]
It's simple math. |

Every F I have comes W B. Some of those Bs are more, uh, beneficial than others, is all... :paranoid: |
Hopefully never. Friends with benefits should be just that. That's the way I would want things to go, personally.
But usually emotions get wrapped in it... and then it becomes more difficult. |
my fwb relationship took 3 months and 21 days to become a proper relationship, have now been together 10 months tomorrow~

I was a FWB and didn't even know that's what we were. But it was great fun and went on for years and years (like 12+). No regrets either - at least from me...because we are still good friends! The funny part is that back then, the "friends with benefits" term didn't exist and if it had I'd have been a bit ticked off that there was an actual defined name for such a special friendship.
Some relationships defy names...true!? Yeah, I think so. |

I assume you are talking about what is commonly referred to as an FB. The W just gets in the way of Fuck Buddies.
Now to your question. The usual thing that happens is that just ONE of the buddies starts wanting more--romance, love, credit cards. This is the beginning of the end. Then it's time to find another FB. |

With FWB the most important thing first and foremost should be the friendship and the benefits second. In order for this kind of relationship to work and the friendship to stay intact, both parties are going to have to be completely honest with eachother, and MOST importantly, with themselves. FB is nothing more than booty on call. Chances are you don't really know all that much about them, and you don't really care to. You just have fantastic sex, and that's about it. That's just my view on it anyways :) |
i think my fellow aussie mr friendly put it perfectly
