When your past pops up in front of you...
I get a call from my ex girlfriend yesterday with whom I had a pretty nasty breakup a few years ago and have moved on since. So we do the casual chit chat and all of a sudden she starts complaining about his current boyfriend. She says how good things were when we were together and she never felt loved in her life as much as when we were together. Then she goes on to tell me how her sex life sucks and how bored she is with her boyfriend and how she misses the way I made her feel.
At that point I couldn't wait to get out of that conversation fast enough, so I listened to her for another minute and made up some excuse to cut the conversation short. I got an ego boost to no end out of that conversation, but when I thought back and remembered all the pain and sufering I went through because of her, breaking up with her was the best thing I could have ever done. |

This happened to me at the beginning of summer because when I went back to work of my exes worked there (his friend had worked with me for a long time and got him the job). I agree, it is an ego boost but yeah, stay away. I have a no second chances rule which serves me well.
