got strange attractions?
 

It's occurred to me that there are certain things about some woman that I find myself strangely attracted to. Things that, I guess, kinda go against the norm. But it has been said here often, attraction is a very subjective thing.

But I thought I'd list a few, see if anyone feels the same way. And I guess, in the interests of keeping the thread interesting, post your own quirky attractions.

1. Girls with completely shaved heads, like, to the skin shaved. I dunno why, there's just something about it that just makes me want them. Like when Britney Spears jumped off the deep end and shaved her head, I though she looked much better :thumbsup:

2. Complete odd balls. I love a girl with strange quirks, or just a girl that's quirky. It's usually destined to make me fall madly in love with them. I knew a girl once, who, if we ever talking about movies, insisted that I touch my nose with my left index finger while talking. I secretly fell MADLY in love with her based of this one quirk alone. She was a beautiful soul that one.

3. Red hair. Not so unusual, I will admit, but for me it's almost obsessive. If I see a girl with stunning red hair, I can't not look.

4. Metal girls. As in, girls that are into the heavy / death metal scene. I don't really listen to the music myself, but the all the metal chicks I've come across are just awesomeness.

5. Girls that are crass and vulgar. Perfect example, Lady Sovereign. Although an extreme form of what I like, the essence of this attraction is because I love not just girls, but people who are really down to earth and really couldn't give a shit about what the rest of society dictates.

6. Lucky last, larger girls. This one is tricky to explain. When I say larger, I don't mean fat, but you know, larger. Pudgy I guess is one way to put it. Voluptuous is the best word I can thing of. Strange part about is I'm just a shade off 6 foot, and only weigh 63kg (stupid hyperactive thyroid FTL :sad:).

Mr. Friendly, your attractions are not "strange" they are, as they should be, individual. Unfortunately, we are bombarded by images of what we should be attracted to, some cookie cutter Hollywood ideal that has nothing to do with the human experience.
Attraction to varied types is the spice of life. I, for example, do not go for buff or ripped men, I actually find it a turn off. I like a little pudge. I also like quirky, sometimes silly and odd men.

Heh! Then I'll have you know that I work with a chick that is 3, 4, 5, AND 6. While I do feel that if I were single, I might see how I'd "give 'er a try", but I'm certainly not obsessed.

As far as strange attractions, I definately agree with the redheads.

Scotty from Mythbusters makes me sweat! Chicks that aren't afraid of getting their hands greasy and know how to fix things and use power tools definately give me wood.

I was totally gonna post that too yu know, not sure why I didn't. But totally get where you're coming from there.

Nothing beats a girl who isn't afraid to be against the norm. Fashion, dark tans, skinny, clean cut. boring.

In the end of the day, a girl who isn't afraid to be what she wants and is also cute you've got your self a keeper.

Destrox pretty much hit it on the head. At MrFriendly's last point. I prefer a girl that isn't always trying to be a cover model. A girl with a good body (note the word BODY, not boney) looks better in my eyes.

I tend to be secretly attracted to gawky, awkward girls. I also like big noses. Not the noses with the bump on the bridge, or even the ones that curve... but the big, straight triangle noses.

i like girls who talk to me. usually, if a girl talks to me, that is strange.

What ever floats your boat and makes you happy is worth pursuing!

No matter what, every girl/woman has some quality that can be attractive.

Yeah, I'm up with that. I tend to lean more toward the "nerdy" type. Especially the ones with glasses. I love girls in glasses. So, put your contacts away girls.

I like ears that stick out. Especially if just the tips, or the edges, are sticking out of longish hair. I melt.

It's no secret, nor do I think that it's strange, that I've got a "thing" for redheads. Redheads rock my world, and everything in it.

I'm big on nerdy looking girls too.

Tall. Over 5'9" Which is strange for me cause I'm 5'7"


Other then that... as long as she can have a conversation and has cute feet... I'm good.

I prefer women who wear little to no makeup.

I prefer women who are good looking but don't actually know it.

I prefer women who aren't afraid to break a sweat and like to do fun physical activities.

I'll have to say I'm also dangerously attracted to girls into the whole metal/death metal thing. I'm not too into it myself, I dress like a dirty grunge/hippie, but there's something about them I find attractive. and red-heads. So help me God if I ever come across a red-haired-death-metal chick.

Sounds like you need come down to Australia and live in Melbourne. The women here are just amazing. Very attractive on the whole, very down to earth, and just wicked friendly.

I'm a geek, so a woman that can appreciate that is definitely a plus. Not to mention that Kari is cute as hell. :D

Funny, one of my best female friends from college brought one of her friends from Melbourne to the states, and they stayed at my house for a week. I was in love with her by the 3rd day. Cute, friendly, and with that aussie accent....I was so hooked. Only problem was she was married and 3 months pregnant at the time. Dammmmn.

i have many many quirky things that i adore about women

1) i love skinny girls. when i say skinny, if i can see rib bones (but not anorexic) then thats a turn on!
2)i absolutely am fascinated by piercings. chicks ith piercings will definately get a 2nd look from me. and usually a 3rd 4th and 5th look. eyebrow, nose, naval, nipple lip, multple ear, they all do it for me

3)quirky and different. some goth chicks i find are just stunningly beautiful.
4) redheads. no more explanation necesary
5) women who drive manual cars and not automatic! means they got guts and i love a woman with 'balls'!
6) women who can drive real fast. if i ever get passed by a chick whos roaring ahead, ill definately have a look!

Well, I think the red head fetish runs strong amongst the male kind by reading these responses hehe.

So what about da womenz in the house, got any strange and quirky guy attractions?

I like all good looking women, but especially:

1) Dark haired and petite women, often, but not only, Asian
2) Girls who wear glasses are hot
3) Legs and butts are bigger turn on than tits. That's not really odd but I thought I'd come up with 3 things to list.

Pale as hell.
And fucked up, short hair.

The ability to kick the shit out of me in a real fist fight is awesome. I love the idea that I have nothing on her, including physical ability. While I'd never hit my wife in anger, we've had sparring matches. If you've never done this, you're missing out BIG TIME.

Almost everybody.

1. Girls that are bigger than average. Pudgy was mentioned earlier; good description. Super soft skin.

2. Pale skin

3. Shy, insecure girls

4. I like piercings, but not the 25 on one ear, but more of the eyebrow/lip piercings

5. Nervous, awkward girls

Probably the biggest two are insecure and pudgy. That's probably my definition of the perfect girl.

A girl who can sing.

hmm... strange attractions...

A woman who "gets me", and loves what makes me "me".... my personality, (attempts at?) humor, my love for being a kid at heart (not to be confused with immature).

That would take a woman of some strangeness, I'd imagine... but that's a strangeness I'd really appreciate. :)

I've only found a few who really get me... and those who did, were all great.

A woman who appreciates me as I am, and isn't looking to change things.

Eyeglasses. Boy-ish faces. Quiet. Good with computers. Can play the harmonica.
