Eine Kleine Nachtmusik
Maybe it's the Bowie kick I've been on since the beginning of the semester, but I'm now convinced that David Bowie's "Young Americans" album, minus the title track, is/would be excellent music for "getting it on." This has made me wonder, however, what other people's selections would be. So what music does it for you and/or your partner? What selections are good at setting "a mood?"
I realize that this is a bit of a cross-categories thread, so admins feel free to move it to Music if necessary.

I dunno about music creating a mood. All I know is that no matter what is going on in the background, if she's horny, we're getting it on. I once had sex with the title screen audio from the Sin City DVD looping over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. We didn't hear it until we were done.

You got problems if you have sex after watching Law & Order.

Haha, we have done this many many times. I have to say that the title screen from Seven was very distracting though. As far as music goes, we usually don't have any on, depending on where we are we might have one of those channels that plays music 24/7 on but that's usually just for cover. I however am a big music person so of course there are some songs that are more of turn ons than others. "When the Leevee Breaks" by a Perfect Circle is one that is nice for background music, kinda slow for some situations though. Nine Inch Nails is also good.

Certain songs are written in a 'sexual' cadence...I don't mean obvious ones like those by Barry White or Marvin Gaye, but the rhythms are definitely timed to coincide with having sex. A couple are: 'Love, Rain on Me' by the Who, 'Feel Like Making Love' by Bad Company, 'Closer' (obviously) by NiN...
all start slow, build with driving beats, slow down again, then get to a crescendo and fade.... Only the first one was ever playing during sex, and it was coincidence... did have sex during Monday Night Football once...scored about the same time Greenbay did

Massive Attack will always remind me of someone.
I like to listen to Sade when I'm getting some nooky. I lost my virginity to "Lovers Rock". "Diamond Life", "Greatest Hits", and "Lovers Live" are all a part of the sex music rotation.
