How do people feel about kissing with lipstick on?

Granted, some ladies look real hot with lipstick on... but how does it feel when the time comes to smooch?

I used to wear lipstick all day long. Those were my 'party-girl' days ie : college days. Every night, I will hit the clubs. Deep red. Screaming SEX! HOT! COME HITHER! Everyday, I will crawl out of bed to go to class, and lipstick will be the one thing that pulls my face together (ignore the raccoon eyes!)

As I grew older, I noticed pigmentation around my lips. I thought it was due to my regular use of dark lipstick. So I stopped wearing them... and started to just use lipbalm with a tint. Mmm.. the guys say these are much more kiss-friendly.

The pigmentation around my lips disappeared a few years into just using tinted lipbalm exclusively. No lipstick at all. Not even for special occasions. Granted, I have naturally rosy colored lips. (not when im sick as a dog of course... that's when I'm green!) So lipbalm do just fine.

My observation from the guys throughout the whole course of wearing lipstick all the time to not wearing any...

During the time of lipstick-wearing : I get nuzzled a lot, groping and such.. not a lot of kissing on the lips. But lots of attention. Guys stare. A lot. They ALWAYs come for a chitchat.

During the time of lipbalm minus lipstick : Lots of kisses on the lips.. less nuzzling :( but still lots of groping hah..

What does this say? What do you guys think? Lipstick attract, but when time comes for a smooch... waxy? icky? messy? How do the ladies feel?

I HATE kissing when I have lipstick on, because it gets all smeared and all over the poor guy's face. Lipstick is for show, but DEFINITELY not for continued use. However, YMMV.

It does look very sexy and delish in my opnion tho... there's a reason that really red lips are associated with sexy vixens.

I think we're just afraid of getting that lipstick on us. I'm not into a whole lot of makeup, so lipstick never really did much for me. I guess I have to consider that when I kiss a girl with lipstick on, chances are, I'll end up ingesting some of it.

I find both not as enjoyable as kissing naked lips. Lipstick I find to be too waxy and lipbalm I find to be too... not greasy, but slippery?

I like the look of lipstick - as you said, bright red is hot. I also like the glistening look of lipbalm - that's also hot. Lipstick is the worse of the two to kiss, I've found, but when my girlfriend wears lipstick we're usually going out somewhere so there aren't (many) opportunities to get into heavy kissing.

I never thought about that. usually my gf doesn't wear any so I'm cool with it. if she did, I don't think it would matter too much because it looks fucking hot on her!

I don't like kissing as much when my wife wears it since like Halx said I don't want it ending up on me. Plus she seems always worried she will smear it. Not such a big deal with the lipbalm.

It's never really bothered me, personally. I hardly, if ever, taste it and if there's an excess on my lips I just wipe it off later.

When I was single and doing the whole bar thing, I'd put lipstick on to go out but would never reapply it through the night. So by the time any kissing was happening, it was gone.

Today, my husband does not like to kiss me with lipstick on for the same reason Halx said, he does not want it on him as he goes off to work. My son also hates when I kiss him with lipstick on (I guess he does not want a big smooch mark on his cheek all day). So I don't put any on until I am on my way to work in the car, alone. No fear of kissing anyone then.

I'm a proponent of the make-up is correct only when it's not very noticable. Occasionally I've seen girls with lipstick that just worked, but normally they go for the too-red and too-dark colors, which in my humble opinion, makes them look cheap. Unless you have a fancy black dress on and are dressed to the nines, go for a lighter shade or stick with the lip balm.

I don't like the smell of lipstick. It reminds me of my mother when I was a kid.

That's just not something that is conducive to passionate kissing.

I think hot red lips need to come back in fashion. Whenever I see a girl with wearing red I stop dead in my tracks and HAVE to go talk to her...if only to compliment her for being brave.
