I've lurked around this forum for quite a while now, occasionally replying to posts, sometimes coming here every day, then nothing for months, and then coming back again.

One of the recommendations I've seen here over and over again is the book "The guide to getting it on"

My girlfriend bought me a copy as an early xmas present after I'd spotted it in a local shop. She didn't pay much attention at the time, but she suprised me with it when we swapped our christmas pressies. (i'm travelling back to Europe for Xmas and won't be here).

I really must say... What an AWSOME book! There's stuff in there that is so much more than just "how to make her come in 3 seconds". There's chapters in it on the relationship a man has with his dick (the only toy he gets during childhood and is allowed to play with it for life... hehehe) through to 3somes, kinky play and even discussion on foreskins...

It's now $15 at Amazon... If you want to give your loved one a really good, and funny book, it really is worth it.

Mr T I'm glad you've found the joys of that book and can join me in campagining for more people to read it. There's not a lot of "causes" that I'm passionate about, but that book is one of them!

Guys, I'll second (and third and fourth) what Mr T said: it's an awesome book, and will be worth what you pay for it the first time you read it! :)

I LOVE that book. It covers everything and is very well written. I remember when I bought it, a friend of mine teased me and I made her look at it.

It's another one of the purchases Sage has *made* me make.

it's a lot of fun, and can help bring up topics that are new, different, and sometimes difficult to broach.

JT- it's definitely geared for both. Not only does it have all the info one sex could hope for about the other, it's also got all the info anyone could ever want about their own gender. I learned things about myself and my body while reading the book, and I know my husband did the same with his body.

I haven't seen very many (And no, not because I keep my eyes shut! :lol:), so that was certainly educational. :P

As a quality control test. Does the book talk about leading and domination in the bedroom?

My sister got me this book a few years ago as a joke... awkward, regardless this is a great book.

Mantus- I'm almost positive it talks about domination, I haven't read it in a while, but I remember it as being pretty thorough.

This book looks awesome, I was wrapping it and couldn't help browsing through a bit. Can't wait to read it :-)

Chasey and I have been reading 2 or 3 chapters aloud every Sunday night (we missed a couple though). It is well written, and easy read and has a light air about it. So far nothing great, but we are only like 7 or so chapters in. We can kind of tell that there are good things in store tough.

Bonus - they made a Stargate reference and a number of other very recent references that show they are trying to keep the thing current. No signs of being dated other than some of the diagrams / artwork.

Mm, got it. I haven't found anything ridiculously spectacular or too far outside of common sense, but I think there's a reason why. It comes off so easy-going that a lot of the stuff it teaches you it makes you think you've known all along, and make it easy to remember. So maybe I've learned more than I thought from it. Got it as a present for the gf, though I'll give it to her in a week when I see her. Yay for getting to read it first, then! :D
