Not gonna lie, I have in the past. I try not to. I feel like I'm cheating on my gf.

She looked at porn until recently, then decided not to (I put no pressure on her, though it made me happy). She's totally cool with me looking at it if I want to. I'd just rather not.

Am I the first person to answer this way?

Well, yeah, I think you are.

I think you are the first to say you feel guilty about it actually. But, I don't think you are alone in this type of thinking though. And just because you aren't as "free thinking" as some here are, doesn't mean you are wrong in how you are thinking. If it feels "wrong", then don't do it. Nothing wrong with that. You are WHO you are, and don't let anyone take that away from you. We all have our different opinions and there ain't nuttin' wrong with being different.

If I had a girlfriend and some kind of sex life, I could see feeling that way in the future. One of my friends older brothers growing up said "Race car video games aren't fun anymore once you drive a real car." And I could see how that could happen with porn and sex.

I have found that is true for the first couple of years in a relationship, but there does come a point where having sex is too much (time, work, etc). Thats when you start to look at porn again.

When I was single I looked at porn whenever I had downtime (hence my screenname).

I've since come into a great relationship, so now the rate has dropped to once a week or less.

edit: And the reason for the drop is not due to feeling like I'm cheating on her, but because she's damn cute and has a sex drive equal to mine.

I personally find it a challange and worth the effort after 26 yrs. **shrugs her shoulders** But, that is me and I seemed to have hit my 4th gear and working up to a fifth maybe. However, they do say neutral will happen at sometime, but I sincerely hope that is at least another 10 yrs away!

My best friend has never looked at porn in his life, I believe. And I don't do it anymore, I've just broken down for a single month and a single week relapse.

Masturbates? I don't personally know anyone who doesn't, but that doesn't mean they're not out there. Just...you probably won't find them on this forum ^_^.

Fun question. I'd guess that 2/3 look at naked people having sex (aka xxx). I'd guess 4/5 of men look at naked pictures once a month or more.

That's if you only count nudity and not mainstream stuff like Victoria Secret and swimsuits and rated R movies. That would get you to 95% or more.

And that's not counting looking lustfully at women in person or thinking about past lovers. That might be 100%.

There's lots of things that can really cut into your porn time, like workaholism.
And for a lot of people, maybe love and guilt. Perhaps religion, for some. And certainly old age, poverty, imprisonment, active military duty and hospitalization have an impact.

On your corollary, naked people make my wife feel insecure and angry. That's even if she's with me and reaps the "benefits". Even implied sexuality between people with their clothes on or a novel with sex in it offends her. I guess everyone has hangups. (But try working a good story in if you want to get a reluctant lover more comfortable with it. It seemed to help ...)

Actually, the large majority of my female friends that I'm close to are honest about that.

And a lot of them do. I'd guess about 1/2 to 3/4, closer to 3/4. And they own up to it with no embarrassment whatsoever.

And, as said above, not all of us do.

I dunno, it's just happened several times in this thread, doesn't really matter to me - but I try to read an entire thread before posting if it's only a page or two long.

Is that normal, or is normal behavior to just read the OP and post your answer?

I haven't met many guys who don't look at porn, but I have and I do believe them. Most of those guys said it was for religious reasons, and that they were often tempted.

I'm considering doing it now, because I was raised in a very intense religious environment, and leaving it I'm slowly shedding those beliefs which aren't actually mine but which were drilled into me. I'm not sure whether this belief is mine or was forced on me, but as more time goes on, I'm starting to believe that it's not mine.
