"Limited resource" is an analogy, and it's a poor one to describe love. A better analogy from the physical world would be to say that love is a harmonic resonance, like a microphone feeding back, a vibration or wave that feeds back on itself and requires small but very specific input to grow out of all proportion with the energy put into it.

Wow RB.That is really true. and i know exactly what you're talking about. If we are all 'energy' then we just build on that when we share it with those close to us... and then in turn ... share it back with the world over and over.

beautifully stated.

I want to make a clear simple response to SecretMethod70's original post. I may come back and add additional words but I do tend to see words as quite unrelated to what is being considered here. In fact, they are most probably a big part of the "problem" and only a very small aspect of possible "solutions."

In any event, I must say that thinking too much about something like "love" doesn't really ever seem to illuminate anything. As a subject for words, it is very near the top of the list of subjects having the most words uttered and written about it in human history. Yet it remains a very personal, existential experience.

I'm sure I wouldn't have the intimate relationship I have with sus and mimi if I had spent much time thinking about it.

To respond directly to the original post, I would say it doesn't make any sense to me to think about "love" being limited in some way. I've never considered it that way and I don't see a good reason to start.

Some things are not well revealed through words.
