So a couple of my friends told me the strangest story. Apparently, they were at a bar last night and a girl walked in. It was not very crowded, but there was still probably a dozen or so guys there. She stood up on a stage there, informed the bar that she was sober and was looking to lose her virginity last night. Any guy that was interested could go and speak with her, at the end of the evening she would make her choice. From what I was told, she was quite the looker.

To be honest, I'm not even sure where I'm going with this thread, I was just relatively shocked, and somewhat appalled, when they told this story to me.

They hung out til bar close just to see what would happen, and apparently towards the end of the evening she was fairly hammered and left with some guy...

Has anyone ever heard of something like this before? I've obvously heard of casual sex and the like, but not someone going out with the express purpose of losing their virginity to a stranger....

Thoughts?

I'm thinking that I wish I were in that bar that night :p

But that is really strange, and disturbing. She must be really fucked up if she has to go to a bar and announce that she wants someone to take her virginity.

While I think the whole concept of virginity being good or pure is bullshit, I think this can't be healthy either.

I'm thinking she probably has enough psychic baggage to fill a Greyhound, and the guy who took her home got to open some of it :-( .

Aside from all that, who says she was even telling the truth? Maybe she was just looking to be the center of attention -- which she certainly was, wasn't she?

She certainly could have been, I guess it just seemed so bizarre that I kinda just took it as truth. She could have just taken off her shirt :D

Maybe she lost a bet with her friends, or was on a dare to say what she did. As to what happened at the end of the night, you'll just have to wait for her next announcement.

I have a friend who on New Years Eve went back to a 23 yr old beautiful girl's hotel room. She wanted to lose her virginity that night to him. She wasn't from around here nor going to school here, so he never heard from her again.

At some point, especially when one isn't planning to wait for marriage, some people just want to lose it and don't really care to whom. I felt that way a few months ago and when someone offered to take it, I took the offer.

But standing up on a bar and offering it is definitely a bit... different.

Sounds like an urban myth. I've got a friend who walks into a bar, and just starts asking women to go home to bed with him. He says the first 4 or 5 tell him off, and the 6th, says, sure why not? I've never had the balls to try it out.

I had a roommate that would stand at the exit to a bar at closing time and ask women "You don't really want to go home alone, do you?".

He averaged 2-3 slaps, 2-3 FUs, and a near 100% success rate.

i once saw an auction on ebay where a chick from the UK was selling her virginity. she was barely 17 and looking to pay for college. i think the dude that won bid like 100+ k. *shrug* i might be wrong on that price, but, it was a lot. crizazy.

Yeah, but what they didn't tell you is that that was the tenth time that the girl had done that!

I thought everyone knew this...like boomhower (sp?) if you ask enough people...I read some study once that on a college campus about 5% said yes to a very direct question like that. I forget if the actual word sex was used (I think it may have been would you like to come back to my apartment?) in the question and how hot the asker was..but the point is it does work.

Just realized it might not be clear, I was speaking of a male asking a female, a female asking a male had a bigger success rate. It didn't test gays.

hmmm... a 20 to 1 shot... Sounds better than the guy who walks in a bar, buys all the gals that are sitting alone a drink, and if none of them want to speak to him, who heads off to another bar. It's just too bad that your know as the dude who asks everyone for sex.

I'm willing to bet that a woman has a 100% success rate, while a man is probably about 85%.

Woman asking men:
50% would have sex
75% would go back to her apartment
90% would go out on a date

Man asking women:
50% would go out on a date
10% would go back to his apartment
2% would have sex

... all i really want to know if is was an actual virgin or not... my moneys on no ...

she walked into a bar like an hour after he did one night and made it very clear she wanted to have sex that night. she flirted with a bunch of guys while her hubby sat back chilling out and about 2 hours into it he walked up to her and told her she was looking fine and asked her if she wanted to go get a room and fuck like monkeys all night. I did the exact same thing a couple of weeks ago. Only problem was that people started laughing at me, and the bouncer through me out.
