I don't like having to kick a man when he's down and I realize other people made mistakes as well, but this guy is still being paid a salary at our expense to essentially continue doing what he did before:nothing.

Most of us had a pretty good idea that Michael Brown screwed up big time in response to Katrina. We kind of sensed that he was sitting on his hands doing nothing while chaos reigned across the Gulf Coast. Now that some of Brown's e-mails from that time period are beginning to surface, we see that it was just as bad as we thought, if not worse.

We now see that Brown was more concerned about looking good than actually getting off his butt and doing his job. We already knew that he had planned to leave his post on Labor Day, September 5th long before Katrina struck. Now we see that after the Katrina hit, Brown was just waiting for the whole thing to be done with so he could get out of there.
