MSNBC - Two U.S. F-18s reportedly collide over Iraq

Two U.S. F-18s reportedly collide over Iraq

From the article: "WASHINGTON - Navy officials said Monday that two F-18 fighter jets apparently were involved in an "air-to-air collision" over southern Iraq. There was no immediate word on the fate of the crew members."

Wonderful -- More bad news from Iraq...

P.S. I am new to the board, hi, this is my "first post." I've read some great conversations on this board and I hope that I can be a part of new ones. I usually read and post to Slashdot but the level of conversation there is never very deep because after a couple of replies, the conversation ends.

It's a tragedy that IMO has nothing to do with the war, and more to do with simple pilot error.

Well hopefully they were able to eject in time.

Welcome to the board. I think you'll find this to be a bit of a nonstarter in terms of debate, but who knows. Some of the best threads here are started with non-positional stories like this.

They didn't. Bodies were found. They just don't know what happened that caused them to allegiedly collide.
