All I have to say is Shrek and Shrek to make me laugh so much. The acts of unproper conduct that may result in the movie are miniscule. However you are able to see where the activists are coming from, but we need to understand we take some jokes for granted that when we were kids we did not understand nor care about until we were mature enough.

Bugs Bunny in a dress never turned anyone queer that I've ever heard of. Well, except for Elmer Fudd in that one episode. But shouldn't we be more concerned with the man-on-bunny thing? Morally reprehensible I say.

I wonder how many lives have been destroyed by viewing the cross-dressing Clinger on Mash for so many years. I hesitate to imagine the devastation caused by Tom Hank's first television role as the cross-dressing guy staying at the Susan B. Anthony Hotel in Bosom Buddies.

I remember watching an episode of Elmo's World with my daughter, and it showed older black kids playing with younger asian kids, and the next scene showed exactly the opposite. At the time I wondered why, but my daughter's mother told me it was about seeing the differences in people and not being discriminatory towards other races. Basically seeing people as equals. Why should there be a difference here?
Maybe it's just me, but I dont get the whole anti-anything attitude, especially when it comes to something that isn't a choice, and I dont get why people who are "saving our children" are against certain things being presented to them. I want my kids to know what's out there, and make their own choices when the time comes. If my son or daughter turns out to be gay, so be it, but I wont blame anyone or anything for it, and certainly not the programming that they watched as younger children. |

yup, hate to say it but Howard Stern is right--we're being run by the Taliban.

Howard and you would be right if for one missing fact, the people who are saying Shrek is gay aren't in power making the decisions. For fuck's sake we are nothing like the taliban.

The parts of the movie in question were what made it more enjoyable, I think, for adults than for the kids. Kids get caught up in the film's bathroom humor and plot, but ADULTS laugh at the stuff the kids don't necessarily understand.
Some folks need to lighten up and takes things in context. Pinoccio is a fictional doll made out of wood. Shouldn't the group be more worried that the king of the land Far Far Away is going into a fairy tale bar to drown his sorrows while hiring a hitman to "take care" of Shrek, a huge green computer animated ogre whos best friend is a talking donkey. To you, ultra crazy Christian nazis, I say: GET A JOB, or at least a productive hobby or something.

I'd laugh if it weren't so pathetic. It really amazes me that these christian folk have to go out on a limb and chastise a cartoon for according to them, it's gayness.
Maybe someone should open their eyes to the fictional world of religion. You know, Noah building an arc somewhat reminicent of the Titanic and gathering two of every animal in the whole wide world. Quite a feat by one man. How he managed to get elephants from Africa, birds from Madagascar, bears from North America and on and on. Amazing. Makes today's text messaging look like peanuts. Even Jesus himself, took one fish and one loaf of bread and created a hundred of each by snapping his fingers. And David Copperfield thinks he is good. Even Moses got into the act and freakin' parted the Red Sea. Hmmmm,..no ferry, (not fairy for all you homophobe christians) didn't feel like swimming cuz it was to far so what does he do? Draws a line right down the middle, parts it like a cheap MILF after too many margueritas and poof, there you have it. Didn't even get his faggy sandals wet. Someday when I grow up, I want to be just like those folks where, reality is one dimensional and fantasy drives my total being.

Where do these people come up with this stuff? Bert and Ernie lived together, I watched them every day when I was little, guess what? I am a happily married man, yes to a woman. I don't care about the whole gay/straight thing to begin with. If two people can come together and love one another without hurting themselves or anyone else, well then god bless them. They have found something that many straight people can't seem to find. Don't even get me started on parenting, these people who say that homosexual couples shouldn't have children cause it sends a message of promoting homosexuality. So goddamn what! If two people can come together and love eachother, and a child and not endanger the child in anyway well double bless them. How many kids do we see today in broken homes, or bad homes. We need more people who can raise children well. If they are gay, well then good for them.

Once again we see some people who don't have enough on their plate to keep them busy or entertained. So they find some small thing and jump all over it. I can think of many things that time and money could be thrown at before reforming fictional characters. How about figuring out how to inforce the laws we have before we go around making new ones.
