Problems at the Polls...

It's a good thing I didn't put in an absentee ballot.... My vote would not have counted...

Did anyone else run into problems when they got to the polling place?

I had to wait an hour after I finally got to the point where I gave them my ID to pull my information up in the computer.

They had to make a bunch of calls, and I had to get up in a few people's faces because they said I couldn't vote.

I registered, and it shows me being registered on the website.

After they finally got off their lazy asses to check into it, it turns out that some asshole entered a date on my voter registration application that pushed it past the final registration date (when I put in my app early).

They had to pull up an image offsite of my app to make sure that I entered the correct date (which I did) but it was entered into the system incorrectly.

Being in Florida, as soon as they said that there were problems with my app, a lawyer hopped up out of his seat REALLY quick and wanted to get all my info, which I refused.

And so it begins.

Why did you refuse? There's gonna be a lot of this going on this year and they're gonna need all the help they can get to sort it out.

Apparently theres problems for college kids who go to college out of their home states. I forgot the exact reason why, but that really stinks for them. I wonder if they had any other way to vote then.

My girlfriend lives with me. She's from out of state going to college here.

She registered when she was in her home state during the summer and requested the absentee ballot as a student living out of state. She was able to vote without any issues.

I had no problem with voting what so ever. They asked me for ID and I showed them my license and that was it. I guess it is different in small towns. I dont think that we will ever know who realy won the election this year.
