Let's just pray whoever wins

does the best they possibly can and truly has the people's best interests at heart and not the corporations.

Truly.....this is sad

We actually had a member of TFP post a refreshing, NON-Partisan thread....meant to bring some level of unity to an otherwise divided country.....and the first reply is meant to destroy the attempt.

I very much hope this is not the direction of this board tonight, as we will be very busy if it is.

Regardless of who wins, it ain't gonna happen. Don't believe me? Look at the bankruptcy reform act from 2001 and the result when it was voted on.

So, its NON-Partisan to say one hopes the Pres. doesn't help out the bad, bad corporations, but destructive to say one hopes the Pres. doesn't put unions or trial lawyers ahead of the people. I don't get it. Even though I'm a trial lawyer, it would seem to be an equal request that the pres. put the people ahead of Corporations as to say the same things about unions and trial lawyers.

Perhaps it is merely the insight, (gained from reading posting history) that allowed me to infer the likely intent of the post. Perhaps it was the Obviously intentional wording of the post.

Perhaps I am trying to set a tone for the remainder of the night, that might help us all enjoy this forum a bit more.

Perhaps my plea is completely lost on those who wish to focus on the negative.

OR Perhaps..........you are right, and I misinterpreted the intent of the post.

I'm probably wrong, I just read both posts as having the same little edge to them. I just hope the next pres. respects the people who pay for that bloated fed. budget.

Ustwo's post I can say was fine.

But for God's sake I did in NO WAY mean to imply ANY freaking party. All I wanted was to say may whoever is elected do the best for the PEOPLE and not the corporations that have money and influence every politician's votes.

Damn I am freaking getting tired of every time I try to say something nice people throw back past posts, say that I "phrased my post to lean one way and not the other" well yeah I am a Dem. But does that mean when I honestly am trying to bring some sanity and peace here that I have to be attacked because my freaking post may have an edge I never freaking intended to have?

Go ahead ban me for a few days. I'm sick of being attacked trying to bring some form of peace every time I try to post something trying to bring both sides into some "nice" dialogue. I'm not perfect my posts are not perfect, but I wish people would freaking read the post and get the gist and not look at the poster and rant about past posts or how much I can't possibly mean what I say because I phrased a word biasedly or I used more GOP people as examples or I am too radical in past posts to mean it.

pan? You really need to cool down, and go back and take another look. Nobody attacked you, man. It's a good thread, opened with the best of intentions. I'm going to leave it open, for now. But, let's get it back on the track that it was intended to take. Cool? And that goes for everybody

I think both starting posts were fine. I just didn't think the second one was any more or less partisan.

Let's all be friends, I'm with you, peace is good. But, hey, pan6467, you are the Mad Heretic, right?
