whats up with electronic voting?

from what I understand, this year they are switching to computerized voting.
and to my knowledge, there is no paper trail left by these machines.

does anyone else think this is bullshit and not trust them?

sorry if this has been covered, I just scanned the top page and didnt see it

Crazy

It bothers me that the votes can be changed with one click. Anyone ever checked what the company is called that is in charge of the system? Who its CEO and directors are? And their brothers and sisters?
Besides, why is the election on a TUESDAY? And not on a sunday, where people would actually have the time to go voting?

So much about you could be changed with a click... I think that fear is more from Identity theft, but as election season nears- it seems like its just ANOTHER thing that can be stolen...

I mean when you see stories about how easy it is, on the News, how easy it is for someone to setup a bank account, and Credit Cards , with just your social security number, it wouldn't seem to be hard to declare residency someplace else- and whoops Joe Blow just voted Absentee for you. Or to change your party affliation, so when you go to vote- whoops you have an idependent ballot, or the opposite of what you wanted- This year with the lawyers marching about- I dont think you'd be able to get the ballot you wanted- for fear of fraud...
